I was at a Customer's House Fixing their computer when I got a Video of my Man with his organ in his hand... The Next thing I knew I was trying to figure out how to MUTE the Damn Thing!!! *Laughing* I Will Never forget that day!!!

This isn't bad, but it reminded me of it. I was at my mom's for thanksgiving last year and my boyfriend at the time texts me, "I'm hot for your triptofanny"! I about DIED.

Seems to me there are people who would rather text, and people who would rather talk on the phone. With everyone here being so far away from each-other, for the most part, I thought it would be interesting to find out which one YOU would rather do to keep in touch long distance. I like texting more. As a mom who has had and is still working on a career, it's simply easier. With text, you don't have to worry about answering right away. You can do lots of things at once, and there are no awkward silences. Not to mention the fact that it's simply easier telling people... certain things... in text. Now you. 
You can text me anytime you want. 
Unless you are an AT&T customer. For some odd reason I can't get texts from AT&T phones.

I'd prefer to call instead of texting. I personally find text messaging people rather annoying as well as pointless- I mean... you have a PHONE, NOT a computer... you CALL and TALK to people on a phone... NOT send them text messages. I agree 100% Both are hard to do when ya don't have a number!! *clearing throat..hmm..hmmm* lol

I hadn't done any texting to speak of until recently when I got a phone with a keyboard. It's ok but I like talking on the phone better.

I like hearing another person's voice rather than getting a text. You can actually hear how they feel in their tone, rather than assuming someone's mood, etc.

Yeah...I am. I just... don't like TALKING on the phone. If ya wanna talk to me, see me in person.
I'm kinda a forums vet from YEARS back. Heh is one of those words.
OK, for everyone who likes to talk better -- how long are your conversations on average? Because the worst part for me is getting off the phone within a few minutes without hurting feelings. |

During the day I prefer texting since I'm usually working. After about 6:30 I am good for the phone. Then I've gotten the major feeding of animals done and have some free tiMe to talk and its usually cool enough to sit outside and relax.
I enjoy hearing voices as it giVes me a better feel for the person. At my end you tend to hear the critters nattering away. I've got verizon. |

Before I had to try and get in what I wanted in like 260 characters or somethin crazy....160 260 60 I dunno So...I woulda said before that I hated texting....now I prefer it You wanna call me you better have something good to say, that you can't text

It's 260. Mine does that except for other Verizon customers. They can have as many of my words as they want. |

I prefer calling. Texting can be fun on a break at work or something, but calling really is the best option I think. You can get everything you need to say out and still be busy taking care of other things as well.

 i do text and talk.....
texting is an advantage when you are in a quiet places or loud places like inside hospitals where many patients were resting or inside a public place where a lot of people talking. YOU TEXT BECAUSE IN QUIET PLACES ,"YOU CAN'T DISTURB PEOPLE WHILE THEY RESTING" IN LOUD PLACES bETTER TEXT BECAUSE TALKING ON PHONE MAY LEAD TO MISUNDERSTANDING.CAN'T HEAR CLEARLY WHAT THE OTHER PARTY TALKING ABOUT IN LOUD BACKGROUND. TEXTING IS HELPFUL IN SOME CASES! 
Talk===so you know you talking to a man or a woman ....if they changed voices...THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM!
