* The following was written months ago and, as with many of my writings, it was in the moment and pain was the prescription for this piece.
END ME This empty box is not for me Lonely in my way For turns and corners hurt my heart Only pain will stay This empty landscape leaves no purpose Thought of by so few Final moments would pass unseen Deny it ..but its true Spare me from the wondrous gifts Showered on all but me Spare me from the talk of future An image I cannot see People love me on condition An agreement I must accept My heart beats down the fragile emotions Leaving my soul inept Love me with the laughter Shun me in my pain Without a beat you walk away My needs flushed down the drain Not good enough to be whole Not loved enough to be given Not heard enough to be respected No need for me to live on This empty soul without the crowd Shed purpose and protection Took for granted and left to bleed For life I choose defection This empty box is not for me Lonely is my way For paths and roads hurt my heart End me I do pray |

Do you still "choose defection"? I like this write, poured from your pain to pen to paper.

I think there are moments where defection does fit. I see it more as defection from society rather than pure suicide. Closing oneself off.

I think there are moments where defection does fit. I see it more as defection from society rather than pure suicide. Closing oneself off. It is such an easy task to defect from Society...Nice write... |

I think there are moments where defection does fit. I see it more as defection from society rather than pure suicide. Closing oneself off. I think, slightly veering from the topic, what you say about the walls so high makes alot of sense. When that happens, a person may often settle for the easy way out. I think that is the exact moment which can define a lifetime. Not a given, but definitely a possibility. |
