Do you just type it and let it ride? Do you pick at it over time? Do you ever just scrap it and re-write the whole thing? I think I'm a 'picker'.... some days I'll read my profile and wonder "What was I thinking?" Twice this week, in fact. Only once have I completely scrapped it and and started over. Which are you? I usually pick at it, little changes. Until I got pissed once hand had enough of people so I scrapped it and started over. Show your eyes more. You have beautiful eyes.  |

I was actually just thinking about doing a full re-write. Not that there's anything wrong with my profile but I'm kinda bored with it...

I went back read it once about 4 months later. Then added a few sentences to the end about a few months ago. Reason was I had made a statement at the end,but still I got mail that was what I didn't want,a few lines only. So I went back and tried to nicely make it clear and why. This way if they sent 3 lines after I changed it,they knew already I would not write back and I would not feel bad about it.

I mostly leave it alone....I mean I changed it when Jon and I got together and I just added some details about Secret Pals hints....

I tweak mine from time to time, because I have the same "what was I thinking" type moments. yep... I have those.  You, Lex and the others have helped with the OGP thread! I was very new to dating sites/profiles when I joined, and just threw up the same generic stuff. I've revised MANY times thanks to those posts ;) We all have some of the generic stuff. But it really is frustrating when a profile is so generic as to be no better than having typed "just ask me." And that's about 75% of them I think. But truthfully, to me OGP is about finding humor in the mountain of sometimes silly, sometimes mundane, sometimes strange profiles (from other sites, of course). It's all about the punch line. |

I change my profile pics when I get new ones taken.
Other than that, Hell no. I worked too damn hard typing my profile to go and redo it.

I am working on a tweeker today. I chose to add a few lines a month about my experiances on M2, just incase anyone stops by and checks out my edge. Everybody has something they use to attract a new friend, a date, or mate. I have the perfect tool for the task, my profile page so I use it.
