Im a the worse person to count on in an emergency situation. I am a deer headlights. You have to say my name a few times before I would run (just at the sight of blood)I would be the stranger that needed to be saved. And if you are...then you better hope that Im not the only one there. if thats your child in the pic i would imagine most parents would think their life was too much in need to their child? Especially when only one parent is in the childs life. I need to be here for my son, he has too many special needs. Sounds selfish, but I have to think of him and his needs before a strangers needs. |

NO way. In fact i would ensure that they did actually die so not to tar my reputation as a decent person. They might tell people i didnt help, so they get a few bullets to make sure they cant.

Have three times before and would again. Hope I never need to though. Each time was sort of a knee jerk reaction - no time to think, only act. Afterward it was terrifying, took days to really calm down inside.

it depends on the circumstances. if the risk to me was measured
and low and they were in very serious danger then i certainly would. however, i would not go into a situation where there was a high risk of me losing my life and little chance of saving the other person. for example - i would certainly go up to a burning building to help someone jump or climb off the roof even if it looked like the structure could fail near me but i wouldn't simply run into a burning house to try to search for someone who may or may not be in the building. |

would you risk your life to save the life of a complete stranger? I can only answer that question the day I am facing that situation, before that it would only be speculations of what I think I would do. |

I think more times than not people would. I don't think that one thinks about it in that moment. Like someone told me recently that they would jump in immediately if they saw a guy beating the **** out of a woman. What if that guy had a knife? Do you think about that in the split second that you realize someone needs help? What about a house fire you happen upon? A woman screaming my baby is in there. I think it's adrenaline thing, for the most part.
