Topic: How do you know when it is love | |

IS love like in the movies or the many romance novels young girls bombard themselves with while growing up, is it an experience in which you are secure and guaranteed care for a lifetime?
Is it just compromise? Is it love when u lower your standards? |

the only thing i know for sure is that love is both beautiful and destructive. it is like your blood has been replaced with gasoline, and your heart is a bonfire. every beat kills you a little but you just love to watch it burn.
in all honesty love is completly different for each person. thats why it is so writen about. every single person could write there perfect definition of love and they would all be right. of course the problem is that when there could be more then one anserw knowing somthing for certain becomes imposible. so the best i can say is that it fits each person. personaly i think you never really know for certain but eventualy you meet someone that you have to be with and it dosent matter if they are perfect |

I believe love is a feeling as well as an action word.
Its when you truly care, respect, and trust. Its when you, or your partner do so much to show deep, positive emotion for oneanother, and are inspired in doing whatever they can to make the other person happy. It is sacrifice. It is hard work, but a joyful pleasure. It is many times sharing a spiritual connection, an understood, unsaid thought. It is commitment. It is wanting to grow together. It is being supportive. It is uplifting another. Love is unselfish, doing for someone, and expecting nothing in return. Love is so many things. Is it love when you lower your standards? I believe you still CAN love if you lower your standards. I dont believe it healthy to comprimise your morality for it. |

Do not lower your standards. It comes with cost and regret. But being realisticly healthy is a key also.

Infatuation is based on feelings. The Love part comes with wisdom and 'time'. Infatuation is the euphoria of charm and personalities meeting. The love decision comes after you have seen the other at their worst and in adverse situations and through disagreements but that over time overcoming these and still choosing to commit. This is the action based and tested 'true' love.

I think that when you are in love, you will not have to ask if it is love. You will know. Never ever lower your standards in whom you seek. The Lord has a perfect mate for you as well as for everyone. Keep the love you have in your heart for the Lord above all else--even mortal relationships of this world. Be Patient for God's timing is PERFECT. His plan for you will not faulter. Live for the Lord and He will provide all you need (and seek in another).

Insert your candidate's name wherever you see the word "love". This is the Bible's best description of love. It is NOT the Bible's best example.
Love is: 1Corinthians 13:4-8 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. No, I won't sing: Is this love...that I'm feelin?... GOD bless. |

Is it just compromise? Is it love when u lower your standards? No Love is NOT like movies or books! That is all fantasy. Love is mutual respect for each other....love is communicating....love is a compilation of many things; I liked the post on here that referred to our greatest book, the Bible! |
