Thankyou for your info...I appreciate it and look forward to your
essay...and yes I agree with the earth has it's own natural cycles...my
questions were about accelerated natural cycles...not about myths and
facts..

And these studies show many many different things with ice
drilling...the natural occurances of carbon dioxides over the 100's of
thousands of years, and the elevated levels now.

And many studies are only forty years old, because that is how long they
have been conducting them/

With direct correlations between elevations of co2's in a relatively
short time frame, and the output with modern technologies...there is
inarguable links, that these levels are elevated, and rapidly, in
comparison to the earth's natural occurances.

I also understand the ocean 'pump' theory...and the el nino, la nino
effects, and all the other interesting theories that go hand in hand
with both sides of this discussion into warming, myth or fact.

I don't disbelieve you, AutonomousW...I am more interested in the
accelerated unnatural levels of co2's.

I tell you what...swap...you come and raise your kids here, and your
grand kids, or better yet, in Southern New Zealand...

and then we will talk about natural and accelerated impacts of co2's.

Co2 is being accelerated naturaly.

None of this matters much to me personally, I’m almost dead.

Hopefully the atheists will be right and I won’t have to suffer
reincarnation.

Human beings account for 75%-85% of Ozone depletion...

Natural sources account for 15%-20%

Volcanoes--1%-5%

Even though we (humans) have managed to drastically reduce damaging
emissions of the chemicals that cause ozone depletion, the chemicals
remain in the atmosphere for 20-100 years. So dont expect anything we do
to reduce these emissions to have any significant affect for awhile!

im sorry your mistaken.

please explain what you are atributing to ozone depleation

The hole that everyone worries about was not even known to exist until
1985. The reason it grows over Antartica and Aus. is due to the melting
of ice clouds in the atmosphere in the spring. It is a seasonal effect
and decreases every fall. To say that it is getting worse is really not
verifiable, because it was not even known to exist until 1985! Thats not
to say we dont need to watch what we (humans) release into the
atmosphere, because it is scientificaly proven that Co2 does damage the
Ozone.

This web site is designed to teach..........
It is very easy to understand without being a scientist..

c02 does not damage the atmosphere, and if the "hole" in the ozone wasnt
discovered until 1985? well then by that theory in just over 100 years
humans did an amazing amount of damage with c02 that the earth could not
in the billions of years it has exsisten in witch it was hit by an
asteroid releasing millions of tons of c02 and other gases into the
atmosphere.
Im not going to re explain why that is or look at your reference since
you quite obviously paid no heed to mine.

OK, I found it, but I think I will stick to the scientific research
rather than 5 sec. sound bites from editors of magazines in an obvious
attempt to convince people that scientist are mistaken.
But I watched, now your turn. Good luck with your essay, but at least
take a glance at the scientific research.

Accepted theories about man causing global warming are "lies" claims a
controversial new TV documentary.

world evironmental patterns have been determines to be cyclical.

just a few years back, environmentalist were claiming that we were going
into another iceage.

i wonder what tommorrow we will be told.

CO2 is converted also by everything green on the planet and not just
some sink somewhere, which i would submit to you is smaller in the
levels or amount of CO2 conversion than plants. ver been up in a plane?
all we see is nature infected ever so slightly by the germ none as
humans.

how arrogant are we to think that in the last say 150 industrial years,
we have cause the "destruction" of a planet that has been here for how
many years?

the sky is not falling, we are not all going to wake up tommorrow and be
planetless.

are there things that we can do that are enviromentally friendly, well
yes of course there is, renewable fuels, biodegradeable materials etc
etc etc.

but hey, these are my opinions, agree disagree whatever doesnt matter.

Yep it's ok..we in the Southern Hemispere will just join up with the
illegal immigrants and flood your country, I am sure you have room for
all of us...

Unbelievable in your arrogance all of you.

Unless you turn your tap on and dust comes out, it is not your problem,
is it?

Until you step in that dog turd at your door, you will continue to hide
in your homes, sedated by your tv's, in your righteous absolution that
you know exactly what is happening GLOBALLY.

Thank you Jess!!! I appreciate you noticed I went to the Univ. of Mich
web site and actually read up on the scientific facts of the topic, and
tried to learn....drinker drinker

Lee, I understand because parts of Alberta are already out of "clean"
drinking water. WTF do you do without water?
Life starts to suck really fast.

The level of indifference in this Forum is incredible.

Climate change is threatening polar bears with starvation by shortening
their hunting season, according to a study by scientists from the
Canadian Wildlife Service.

The study of the bears in Western Hudson Bay also draws attention to the
increasing numbers of hungry bears wandering into the northern Canadian
community of Churchill, Manitoba.

The polar bears therefore have less time to hunt and are returning to
land in poorer condition. Weight for both male and female polar bears is
declining and female bears are having fewer cubs. However, significant
population decline has not yet begun.

The study says that the sea ice season in western Hudson Bay has been
reduced by about three weeks over the last 20 years. The scientists say
the shorter season could be caused by a long-term warming trend.

A previous Nasa study found a 2.9% decline in total Arctic sea ice
extent over the last decade.

And dont forget the decline in Plankton, causing sea animals and such to
swim farther and farther in search of food.

Like the Penguin that recently swam ashore in Peru, 3100 miles from its
home.

We do need to personally look at our footprint and lesson it there are
many ways.........
It just takes a responsible effort on our part!!
