Another thing that I really don't understand.
Many women claim to want a sober man,
being a drunk causes all kinds of problems.. I don't think I really need to list them all. (or do I?)
If I put in my profile that I drink.. I get lots of hits.
(know this as fact because I tried it on another site)
But since I put in that I DON'T drink.....Hits are rare.

Since when is being sober a bad thing????

I am sure that it is not always the case, but often..
people that drink, even in moderation, will drink a lot when they get upset, angry or in hard times...

But, I do like to have a few beers,once in a while.

I don't drink, or get high.
Not in almost 28 yrs.
If it's a problem, its theirs not mine.

Not occasionally or rarely, of just now and then, not just one, or for specials toasts, or holidays.

I don't drink, and that is a good thing.

I've experienced the same thing -- I don't drink at all; haven't touched the stuff since I was 22, and I never will again.

I have no interest in dating anyone who drinks.

But I don't think there ARE any women on dating sites (at least the sites I know of) who don't drink....

The ones who say they want a "sober" guy -- I guess those are the same people who claim "looks don't matter, it's what's on the inside that counts" and "all I want is someone decent." They'd rather fall back on the old hackneyed cliches -- to make themselves SOUND like they're not shallow or superficial -- than state the truth, whatever that might be!
