So PLEASE tell me why being sober is a bad thing?

Go ahead, it is your prerogative. I slowed down drinking dramatically, only drink once in a blue moon now...not that I don't get sloshed drunk when I do drink, just not as often. Main reason I slowed down was I started not liking it like I did when I was younger, it doesn't have the same "rebel yell" now...that and my kidneys, that kind of pain would get you to quit about all things. Fun when your young, hell years down the road. Brings up another thought, many people are on medications that clearly state.. do not drink while taking these meds... then go out drinking often.  Is that directed at me? Since you were the one quoted.... YES!!  being judgemental without all the facts, will inhance the fact that you will lose friends here, and it may be time to rethink, and do your research about people, before coming to hasty conclusions or hunches. good luck here. learn much here...................you will. |

Whos being judgmental ? I have the right to not drink or date women that do drink. I have many friends that drink. people can and will do whatever they want.. no problem. Never said that it is bad or wrong to drink, Just that I do not a relationship with a drinker. No different than someone who don't want a smoker in their house. |

On the flip side.. If pot were legal, I would be in the line!
since it is illegal.. I don't touch it. But I have never heard of a high driver killing other innocent drivers. and never heard of anyone being so high ( on pot )that they can't remember what happened last night

That was the reason for the forum here. finding someone sober is really difficult. not just online, seems like all of the women (and men) that I have met here in Moberly, In person.. just want to get drunk and party. Been there and done that. there has to be more to life. |

Perhaps it's the type of people you're meeting. While it's fun to drink sometimes, most of my friends and I have no problem having fun without getting drunk as well.
