I think it can because the Lord knows where our hearts are. We dont have to be on our knees with hands folded, He will hear, that is the wounderful thing about Him. God bless.

Of course you can. God can hear our thoughts. Some prayers are more effective if spoken aloud though. Like praying against strongholds or for healing.

prayer comes in many forms.

Spoken word, formal prayers, song and your thoughts.

What is in your heart is yoru personal prayer. No words are needed.

The bible says that the spirit intercedes for us and that groans and sighs are utterences we cannot put into words. The only missing part is. Are you listening to what God is saying back in your spirit. Faith without action is dead,....soooo, listen to your heart as you pray and talk it out with him. You have those 'shooting' prayers, but you do need the stop and focus ones too. god bless 'brah'...

Can a passing thought be a prayer? every thought, he hears, he knows, he knows before we utter any words. I pray, at anytime, dosen't matter where because I know he listens and it's too him I speak.

Of course.

That is the main way I pray.

Not formal at all though. I talk to him as a friend and father all day long in my head.

It goes through your mind before it comes out of your mouth. The purpose of saying it aloud, or so I think, is to show that you're not embarrassed of your faith.

if you you believe He is omnipresent if you believe Christ resides in your heart for God said that no man shall come to me but through my Son if you believe this Gods spirit the Holy Spirit is with all of us so it doesnt matter if you think it or say it our Father knows the heart and He hears your thoughts and prayers

HOws it going miles?

and

That's about how I feel about prayer myself, He is our Father and Friend, and we ourselves would get pretty bored always hearing repetitious and written prayers read out loud.

The Lord is The Heart Knower, so the answer is a definite yes.

Jer 17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Heb 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Jud 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking

Jud 1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

Pro 17:3 The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.

Rev 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Shalom SharpShooter10

I agree. You hear the same thing over and over though. I think alot of people do not realize they are even doing it though.

It is easy to get caught upon what you have learned and seen most of your life.

Yahweh knows though who has a pure heart when you pray or as Psalms says a Contrite and Broken Heart he will not despise.

Just as the rain falls on the Just and the unjust we are not to make any judgements even as Michael when disputing over Moshe's bones with satan did not bring a reviling accussation against him because then we would be doing as satan did against Job and us as he is said to be the accusser of the brethern.

Remembering this I believe prayer and fasting we are in the right mind not worrying about others sins but our own and that we ask Yahweh to forgive others as Yahshua asked for us as he was dying.

This was a great example of pure prayer.

Blessings of Shalom...Miles

I sure hope so. Please don't get me wrong, I spend plenty of time auctually praying wether it be in my head or aloud, but for me at least, the one way I can truly worship, praise, and pray is through my music. It is probably the biggest gift god has given me, and I think its only right I pray back to god, and give him praise through my music.
