Yes...I'm referring to the ones who think they are "in love" & gush about it publicly after the first week...it rarely ever works out the way they think...

I've seen that happen soooooooooooo many times... If I'm close to them I suggest they take it slow and don't announce it b/c inevitably it ends... Maybe some people are still in love with the idea of being in love so they're not as reserved as others...

I have a lot of friends here, i also have a short list of people i don't like. I just try to get along with everybody.
You are right Phuque, I've seen many "romances" start or people brag about them which normally is fine , but be sure, because i've seen many fail, that must be embarrassing. |

So far in this thread...no one has admitted to actually hating someone (which is a good thing). I just wonder why when it's on the other foot...the "love" word is bandied about so carelessly... |

what a great topic! hate's a pretty strong word, but there are certainly people who instantly rub me the wrong way and with whom i am certain i'd never get along and/or have any sort of relationship, romantic or otherwise. in reverse, there are those to whom i'm immediately attracted and a certain chemistry exists, even if it's platonic. i am seldom wrong about either. and then there is a huge grey, shaded area within which most people fall and where they forever stay. Well said. I can't say I hate anyone I haven't met, yet there are some that I'm pretty sure I would not get along with well in real life. If there's someone on here that I don't get along with well, I'm not going to put any energy into getting to know them or meeting them in real life. There are also people I've chatted with here that I'm pretty sure I would get along with if we met. |

I don't know Phuque, I think that both are thrown around by some or so I've seen... I think it's no different than RL, I'm sure we'll all had friends that go out with someone for a week and profess love then get dumped a week or so later and we're left to pick up the pieces and help them feel better.. Some where their heart or hate on their sleeves and give it out whenever someone causes that firing synapsis in the brain good or bad...

i can't say that i hate any one particular individual, but i do collectively hate the scammers that go around trying to manipulate and use people (especially when those people happen to be friends of mine). every so often, the issue of being fake used to arise on a site of which i was a member and there were specific predator-type people who acted in this manner. i can, however, say - without any doubt at all - that i was completely in love with robin before meeting him. it might not be YOUR version of love, or even anyone else's, but it certainly was what i felt. (and mr. talldub up there was one of those whom i immediately liked; and, of course, instantly assumed he was fake because of it  )

Hate is a waste of valuable passion. Unless they are truly threatening your life, loved ones, or existence, I don't think allowing hate to rise in you will serve any good purpose.
