wow...is there anything you can do to keep them away? I mean other than having PETA get on your a$$... that would get old real fast.... I don't know how to get rid of them. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't sit in one particular tree right by my bedroom. They are also keeping my dog agitated at night he barks at them incessantly. |

when I was a kid we had a baby great horned owl that my dad rescued when he cut down a tree. It lived in the garage until it was old enough to let loose
it was BIG and it was a baby but then so was I 
|

I'm guessing they have a nest nearby Brandy ! Probably why they're always screeching .And they will swoop at you if they think your a threat !

better yet shoot one and post its picture "If you dont know what it is kill it" this is what I would do... we had something, we were not sure what it was, all over the bird feeders at night... we knew it wasn't the raccoons cause we had put up the deterrent for them...the bears were bigger than that...so, Darrel fired up the gun and shot it... it turned out to be a big flying squirrel...we felt kind of bad then...I had no idea we had flying squirrels up here... the wild life this year is really strange...this is the time of the year that mama bear kicks out her yearlings and they go looking for food...so lots of those smaller bears around... this year though, we have had some bigger ones...I had a 6 footer on the deck... but no large scarry birds!! YUK!! I would do what Quiet says and shoot it!! PETA hates us PETA Pretty Tasty Animal That peta ??? |

I was reading the owls hate snakes...so one person put fake snakes in the tree where they landed at night, (which was right outside her window as well)...she said it worked for her...but suggested that you keep moving the snakes around every couple of nights in the tree... she found some realistic looking rubber snakes...  |

She'll probably need those ruby slippers to get up in the tree though !
