USA health care is a shambles. I do not know the numbers, but I can pretty much guarantee the cost of health care here is the highest in the world. Ummm... Health Care itself is not in shambles, only the insurance/cost portion is in turmoil. We have and provide the best healthcare in the world. Insurance companies and HMO's are wreaking havoc on Medical Care. America is still a capitalist country, citizens basically must provide thier own health care. Most people who have healthcare are provided it [healthcare] as a benefit to employment. It's not shambles, unfortunately in a capitalist society - there are winners and loosers -- in this case the ones who loose do not have any coverage for healthcare at all. Immigration continues to be a problem, only after immigration issues are solved can "nationalized healthcare" ever be a possibility.... this is true no matter what your particular political belief is. In your case, paying for it yourself will be extremely expensive, many hospitals will not treat you due to lack of insurance. As pointed out previously, insureres will be wary of your 'pre existing condition'. Your family memebers best recourse would have been to sue the operators of the ride... |
