Do I look sissy in this outfit? Check my pics, is that manly woodworking?

That'll work I guess, LOL

The angel is my own creation. My design and all.

Ah, an artist, now that is what the world really needs more of, if you check out my profile there's a plug in there for my webpage, all of my stuff is sketches and webcomics (at least what's posted on the site).

In the midst of everything else I do I also like to get a cold one and sit right there in a bar with my sketchbook. Screws everybody up and throws them off. laugh

Now that I actually come to think about it, I guess I do kinda like my life. It ain't so bad. Long as I can smoke and drink and burn stuff I got no problems...

Well, I am not up to the "Artist" stage yet. But, I am working on it.

We can't all be construction workers now can we? Look around at all the things you take for granted and think about everything that goes into keeping it working. Many of those jobs are not the type that you would call blue collar jobs.

And if you are such a lady magnet and can pick up women so easily, why are you here? Isn't this a little unmanly for you? Shouldn't you be out at your favorite bar picking up women?

Get out your apple (vodka) martinis and throw on your dance clothes, it's time to go out and chase some tail, have some fun, get lit and throw caution to the wind trying to pick up some gold digger at the club and trick her in to going home with you, right?

Waste of time.

What happened to the rough and rugged men of the past, who played cards and drank whiskey and smoked and chewed and shot guns and worked for a living? Nowadays I don't know who's more "girly", the women that I meet or the men that they go after.

You'll pack yourself into a gym 5 days a week for a 2 hour workout but you refuse to do any job that involves actual work. "I'm too smart to be a construction worker," or is it "I'm too lazy?"

I have a bunch of peers who got laid off 2 months ago (1 girl and about 10 guys, isn't life fair?) and NONE of them have found another job yet. Don't know about everyone, but my butt would be doing something other than sitting around waiting for another engineering position to fall in my lap.

Where's the woodworking and beer drinking gone? Why do men try so hard to keep their hair neat and their fingernails clean nowadays? Where are the real men?

Why do I care???? I don't really:laughing:

What's your manly job?

Aren't there plenty of manly dudes on the oil rig? Why don't you ask them out? Or perhaps I'm misunderstanding the purpose of this postdevil

The job market today is simply not the same as ones past. Many of the manual labor jobs are automated, it is a shame but there are fewer and fewer craftspeople nowadays.

I agree with everything you have said in the post!

I'm too smart to be a construction worker and yet I am doing nothing but construction in the past 5yrs.

I have gone to the gym in my entire life twice and yet people ask me whether "did you start working out" ? Yes and no, I work out at home when I feel like , when I'm not already "worked out" while making money during working out, instead of paying for it.

See, the difference is, I worked building houses already when i was 12...not made of wood but bricks and cinder blocks.

There is a balance to be found to be intelligent and yet physically and mentally fit. Not my theory, comes from the ancient Greeks.

Sweetness just who are you calling a sissie?

Just because I never held a job in the field that you do, doesn`t make me a sissie.

Just because I treat a woman like a lady doesn`t make me a sissie either.

When you have raised 2 sons, been a foster parent to aprox 50 other children, and been married for 24 years, come and talk to me.

By the way pal, I am widowed does that also make me a sissie?

I think not.

What about not taking threads personally?

He was talking "in general" and I think he didn't mean that one specific work would make a man more man while other doesn't.

I don`t usually take threads personally. This one just tripped my trigger. People on here that know me, know that I`m usually joking around. I don`t get serious alot, but like I posted this thread tripped my trigger.

I also have a right to my own opinion, as do you.

I suspect rara was just giving his side of the story just like everyone else does
