An isolated case, at best.

Name ONE person who would actually go out of their way to be ME. Name ONE!

I'd laugh at 'em for being stupid enough to want that. Then I'd haul their ass to court and sue them for every penny they've got. Done deal. No paranoia involved.

i do not know anyone that knows you (that i know of)

possibly the kid you bullied in school or the girl you paid no attention to her advances (they do not need to want to be you, just hurt you)

but as a generic possibility

the teacher possibility above

or say the ex-spouse looking to prevent the other parent from having custody or visitation of the children

there are a lot of possibilities

there are those here that have seen my picture ant there are those here i have had talked to on a web cam

they are people i choose to give the privilege of knowing what i look like (yes privilege)

no one has the right to see a picture of anyone fr the sake of seeing a picture

if those that demand a picture go to photo bucket and pick one after all it may be the same one the person you are trusting picked for their picture

I don't see what the big deal is. if someone wants to use a fake or no pic....that is their choice. if someone doesn't want to speak to someone with a fake or no pic....that is their choice. Don't answer them if it is stated on the profile you only speak to people with pics. if they continue to bother you...block them or report them.

i don't think those are necessarily foregone conclusions.

however, the possibility DOES exist for any number of the reasons given.

wanna call me paranoid? if it protect my family, in any way, go ahead and do so, it'll have no effect on me.

I have a long green nose with a wart and a long curly hair growing out of it. I pay this woman to use her picture.

Well, I don't have a pic posted. But mention I can provide one if they ask for it. I am more interested in a persons bio. I think I can tell more about what a person writes than from a glamour pic or with Paris Hilton glasses or holding the camera upside their head etc. I feel that is not much different than not having a pic at all.

Bottom line is I got to know that I'm talking to person with some
intelect and not just a pretty face.

I've seen some pretty pics that read "I like to have fun and laugh"
Talk about the obvious. To me thats kinda a turn off.

And then they say "I need somebody that can stimulate my mind."
I think they need more of a "kick start" o.k , o.k I made that up.

When I first joined here, I intentionally chose not to post a pic...there was already a handful here that knew who I was. It's interesting how you get treated as one of The Face-less Ones...but post a pic & all of a sudden, you're valid! To each his own...why the big deal?

um maybe "Quit been a shallow Muppet and grow some cahoooneys"

Looks are only important if you intend on marrying the person (you'll see them lots for the next 50 years or so) if its short term who cares what they look like. IMO.

Unless if they're really really hot. cos if they are they're likely way out of your (my) league and I'd rather waste my time on what Cleo call "ugly" tyvm.

BTW Size 12 is back in ppl!!

Some people are contacting me without profile photo/s to look at and see what they look like...

My questions are: How do you handle mingle members who keeps telling you they are good looking but yet you don't know who they are and what they look like? Are they hiding their identity because of some status issues?

Do you have 2 cents on this?

Is that a photo of you in the bathtub?

Nope, that's me
I save photo exchanging for personal emails. Do not post photos on here because I work at a university and see several of our students on here. What would they think if they saw me on here? drinker

One of my co-workers had posted some revealing pics of herself, no full nudity, no frontal nudity, on another dating site. Leather chaps and a thong. Another gal found them and talked about them took others to the site and showed them, made a big deal about it. It was embarrassing for the co-worker. I saw the pics and said "Damn she's got it going on underneath her scrubs" I have seen other co-workers on a couple of dating sites, again in some revealing photos, but I afford them the same respect I would like to be given, and don't say much about it. Myself, I keep my clothes on for sure.

I'm not here to look for anyone, i'm here to help run Mingle2. But if i were looking, you can bet i would overlook those profiles with no pics. I have presided over forum boards for years, and i can promise you, no pic = no response, at least 80% of the time.

From my view, it is only common courtesy, to upload a pic. Look at it this way..if someone comes to your house, and knocks on the door..and their face is covered with a bag..would you let them in? No, and i wouldn't either.

I could see this as a big issue at one time, but webcams work well, and you can get them at walmart for under twenty bucks..It takes about 30 minutes to install the cam and upload a photo..the way i see it, if you don't have twenty or thirty minutes, then you sure as hell don't have time for me.

Hey, I'm offended!laugh
I've dated a few women that I would gladly have given them a bag to put over their head! and over mine, Just in case hers fell off!!

it is anyones choice / right if they put up a picture or not.
No big deal.
Just as it is my choice / right to not reply to their emails and instant messages.

But as I stated much earlier.. I do agree about the really old pictures.
I just don't give a hoot what anyone looked like 15 years ago.
