Topic: No photo | |

Some people are contacting me without profile photo/s to look at and see what they look like... My questions are: How do you handle mingle members who keeps telling you they are good looking but yet you don't know who they are and what they look like? Are they hiding their identity because of some status issues? Do you have 2 cents on this? Is that a photo of you in the bathtub? Nope, that's me I save photo exchanging for personal emails. Do not post photos on here because I work at a university and see several of our students on here. What would they think if they saw me on here? |

Oh, gosh, I dunno....maybe that you enjoy conversing with others? Perhaps they would find it a happy coincidence that you go to the same website? Are you afraid of being looked at? Haven't you ever been seen before? What do you care what they think, anyway? |

Unfortunately, employers wishing to cut their staff down due to budget issues, etc. are resorting to using online behavior as Exhibit A as to why people can be fired and why those people should not be able to draw unemployment. I have a close friend who has just gone through this with no apparent recourse. Fair? Nope. Reality? Yep.

So, the world is forcing society to use computers....but people can be fired because they use a computer, especially during the times they're not even on the clock or at work? That's pure stupidity.
For as "smart" as people believe themselves to be in this computer age, they sure are stupid. |

many people have their reasons for not posting pics...meaning have them for not wanting to speak with someone without them. Choices in life. I personally don't car if there are pics because I'm not looking anyway.
even with pics...who is to say that they are current or of them??? ya never really know. many have current pics of themselves but sometimes it's hard to tell IMO fake or outdated pics aren't any better than no pics just a thought |

real pic as converted Clearly, my family did NOT take a picture for any advertisements - either here or abroad. And, clearly, whoever hijacked the picture assumed no one would recognize us so far |

Oh, my God! There's a picture of me on the internet!
Oh, my God! What do I do?? Oh, my God! Somebody might see me, and I've never been looked at before! Gotta love paranoia. |

For the reasons I'm here, I could not care less.
I'm glad my pic is fake. |

if someone doesn't want to post a photo of themselves online, why do we all have to seek out reasons for it, or rib them over their decision?
it is, after all, their decision to post one, or not. it certainly isn't mine to make for them and i'd feel quite indignant if THEY were telling ME to take MINE down. all i can do is decide whether or not i wish to speak to them or not. and mostly i don't talk to anyone, photo or no photo. however, 2 of my favourite online friends have never had a photo posted on their profile, or otherwise. it didn't stop me from conversing with them, nor did it stop me from meeting them, nor did i think they were paranoid, or suspicious, or sneaky, or anything other than that they just did not want to post a photo. it really was that simple. |

Gotta love paranoia. gotta love the lack of forethought for the possibilities (waiting for someones head to posted on anothers body somewhere) sounds like a good reason for a professor at a college not to post a picture to me wonder how long it would take the school to fire them when a vindictive student did such a thing |

I understand that it's a preference for some people to choose not to post photo/s of them on here. My problem is they keep insisting and they keep sending messages back to me telling me I am a snub for not responding their messages where I made it clear in my profile that I do not answer messages without photos. I would feel inconsiderate if I block them or should I block them? |

Gotta love the overthinking and creation of paranoia for others.

An isolated case, at best.
Name ONE person who would actually go out of their way to be ME. Name ONE! I'd laugh at 'em for being stupid enough to want that. Then I'd haul their ass to court and sue them for every penny they've got. Done deal. No paranoia involved. |
