I actually did do that once-I was dating this guy and I did show up with a 12-pack, a loaded pizza-I may not have been naked-I saved that for later but he was so happy!

Terry, it's a beautiful sentiment, and I certainly would love to find someone like that. But.... In reality, it's always great for 3 months and then she (pretty much every she there be) suddenly decides it's time to CHANGE me -- in all the worst ways! Life really COULD be so simple -- if people understood that there's no point in lying to someone to pull them in, and then making it your life's ambition to turn them into the opposite of who they are.... |

Terry, it's a beautiful sentiment, and I certainly would love to find someone like that. But.... In reality, it's always great for 3 months and then she (pretty much every she there be) suddenly decides it's time to CHANGE me -- in all the worst ways! Life really COULD be so simple -- if people understood that there's no point in lying to someone to pull them in, and then making it your life's ambition to turn them into the opposite of who they are....  WE'VE DATED THE SAME WOMEN!!!!!!!
To be real Lex,,its maybe a Blessing as to have THEM show US their REAL,,in a timely fashion as to pro-long THAT for a year or more,wink..
And I am so a realist about life and my reason HERE as to NOT have found one yet....Lex,,I HAVE NOT REALLY LOOKED! To be real,,yea,,I have been open,,and some poems and some posts,,but when emailed or through some I have had say hello,,I don't pursue them,,,MUCH,,,as if THEY kind-of back away,,I am already gone,,,,for SOME,,its been the real idea of WHERE they now live verses where I am at,,but with OTHERS,,its NOT A ME THING to CHASE after a lady,,and I THINK,,,MANY WANT or THINK,,THEY NEED THAT to feel I am REALLY INTERESTED in them???? Analyzing THAT,,I think its my feelings of maybe being rejected? So I don't go puppy dog wild over them..just a guess here? AND,,,my biggest problems always been MY desires to help someone OVER my desires to HELP ME...so I became as one lady just told me two weeks ago here,,,I am mingles counselor,,, 
AND SHE WAS VERY SERIOUS ABOUT IT,,,I just laughed and said,,well I HAVE BEEN some folks person to share their problems with but THAT did,,make me realize I DO THAT A BUNCH,,and over-look MANY who might be trying to get my attentions???? |

Agreed, but I have to ask what the point is of their lying about it in the first place. Why do they pretend to be on the same page with me for 3 months and then do this ungodly radical turnabout? Why not just be open from Day One, say what it is you want, say what it is you're looking for, say what kind of relationship you're seeking....? They never do that. It's always "I love everything about you" for 3 months, and then it's "Now I have to CHANGE everything about you." What kind of sense does that make? Not that 3 months is all that long, in and of itself, but when you multiply those 3 months by the number of my exes who have done exactly that procedure, that's a lot of wasted years. And I am so a realist about life and my reason HERE as to NOT have found one yet....Lex,,I HAVE NOT REALLY LOOKED! But you're one of the most up-front, open, honest people here, and nobody is ever going to accuse you of hiding your feelings and beliefs. And me, I'm just a writer trying to get established, but I'd like to think I've been pretty straightforward about myself and what I want -- but it doesn't make any difference. I get that, too. Seven years studying psychology has made me everybody's therapist. I'm OK with that, too. I mean, I think it says something if people think enough of you to open up and talk about their problems with you, right? Helping people is a good thing. It's just that it would be nice if, just once, there was someone around for the therapist to talk to....but that's just too "outside the box," I guess. |
