thank God I live way out in the woods on land owned by my family...no one can move in around me...I LOVE BEING ME I envy you. I was born and raised in the country. Lived between 4 farms. I can go back if I want but I made something for myself here and it took a long time and hard work. |

U can call Child Protective Services an remain anonymous. Havin worked for CPS, I would suggest have as much info as possible. Write down times, dates of occurences. Be able to give them names and ages of the children and parents. This kind of info helps out a great deal when doin an investigation. If you are friends with any other neighbors ask them if they would also call. The more complaints they get concernin the family from a variety of people, the better. If it's just one person doin the complainin it's not taken as seriously unfortunately. I can maybe get another (or two) neighbors to call. One of them is moving out soon and I think he'll do it. I can move too.....but I am a man of principle and I lived here first. Why should I have to move? Please call CPS, no 2 yr old should be roamin the streets unattended. That is a very dangerous situation. There should actually be a 1-800 number u can call 24/7. Every state has one. Just remember what I said, as much info as possible. You wouldn't believe some of the reports I've taken that couldn't be investigated because we had no info such as the simple address in which to go investigate. I will call. The other kids aren't much older and use this toy truck thing to slide down the street around a blind corner .....cars are always flying around same corner and one of these they're gonna get hit. The parents do not care. I have asked them to stop riding that thing next to my house but it only lasts for a day or 2. These 'people' believe it's a free country and can do whatever they want. I hear them actually say that. They take ZERO responsibility for their actions and I see this more and more in America and it makes me sick. These people? I think he means his sub-human neighbors. |

Call CPS. Also call the landlord. In my city we can call the city about problem homes like that. We can also call our alderman. We are not helpless about these situations. There are people to call. The landlord used to be my neighbor. my ex-wife and him hated each other so he hates me. The real irony here is that when I moved here he had hand made signs in HIS window pointing towards our house(s) saying NO SECTION 8. Then he goes and makes his house Section 8. Worse....these people next door make more money on welfare and food stamps then I do working my ass off. They say life ain't fair....but that's just plain wrong! Why are you bringing their financial situation into it? I thought this was about their children and their behavior? What do you mean by "these people"? You can call the city, CPS, and the alderman of your neighborhood. It may shock you but until you actually live beside this kind of thing you can't judge me by what I call them. Seriously. Their financial situation is their will. They choose not to work. I can hear almost every conversation they have(they are LOUD) and I heard them they say they'll never get jobs. I hear their kids say, when I grow up the gov't will send me money. Believe it and lets leave it at that. |

Guess what..it is a FREE COUNTRY and people can do whatever they want within reason. You act like your neighbors are not "as good" as you because they live in section 8 housing. Be lucky my friend that you still have your job! The problem is you do not know their situation..so do not judge them!! I do think you need to call CPS but I DO NOT think you need to judge people! Maybe you need to think about that...stop worrying about your neighbors money situation and take care of your own! |

Btw, the children are not being supervised properly. That's how you can get them looked into. If they bother you, call the city or your alderman. Also, call Family Services for the children. I thought this was about their behavior that was bothering you and not about their finances. |

Calling the cops may not do much, but calling child protective services sure as hell will. A two year old wandering the neighborhood or even down the street is no joke
That's a pedophiles dream come true. I still maintain we should be able to license having children. Call Protective Services about the kids. OR.. better yet.. Call the police on her EVERY TIME this happens. Take pictures of the kid wandering alone down the street. Build a fence so they can't infringe on your privacy. Find as many ways as you can to keep you and your life seperate from them without having to actually interact with them. Last resort? Move before they trash the value of your home that you worked so hard for |

It is a FREE COUNTRY to them. They live off the government and other peoples tax money. Shouldn't be too surprised she is lazy....she doesn't work. She probably stays home and eats and watches tv.
A mother that will allow a two year old to run unprotected doesn't have much care about the child. She should be made to realize she has kids.....not animals. Kat |

And about them not wanting to work...like I said to you before, BE HAPPY YOU STILL HAVE YOUR JOB!!! Its tough out there and people are getting laid off ALL the time. |

That's a pedophiles dream come true.
======================================= Funny you said that: I even pretended one day to be talking on the phone outside when they were outside. I said, "yea you hear about that child molester that just got out? He lives 1 block away....maybe somebody should warn the parents" They heard me.....didn't ask any questions...didn't care. |

Not all people who live in Section 8 housing or are on government assistance are bad people or bad parents. Some have just fallen on hard times. I understand you're frustration but your neighbors are the exception to the rule. There are many people that have had to request help due to the state of the economy today.

I never said all people on section 8 are bad people.....don't paint with a big brush please! Better yet...come on over and I can show you my neighbors and you'll be shocked and sickened. I'm sure that they are bad neighbors by what you've described. But..you quit talking about their behavior and started talking about your taxes, welfare, and foodstamps, and Sect. 8. You're making it sound like that is just as bad as their behavior, IMO. |

I never said all people on section 8 are bad people.....don't paint with a big brush please! Better yet...come on over and I can show you my neighbors and you'll be shocked and sickened. Honestly..if it is that bad there, maybe its time for you to move? I know that you have been there the longest BUT sometimes having peace and quiet would be worth packing your stuff and leaving!!! |

I'm sure that they are bad neighbors by what you've described. But..you're bringing other things into the picture ie. your taxes, welfare, and foodstamps. You're making it sound like that bothers you as much as their behavior It bothers me (and it should bother you) that they sponge off the system. I HAVE to work. They get more money then I do and I work full time plus! They are off 365 days a year. That bothers me as well....not as much as all the noise they make. Haven't had a decent nite sleep in months. (since the weather got nice) I am a honest, loving, caring person. But will not stand up for people who 'work the system'. They park their car in my yard and when I confront them, I get: It ain't hurting anything! man I wish you could have neighbors like this and you'd say they same thing.... oops......looks like the cops are over there...again....be back in a minute |
