Ok, cruising 101 - the Bahamas suck, from what I understand. The beaches are better and the shopping's better in Mexico (Western Carribbean) cruises and the cruises themselves are generally less expensive. As to where on a ship, unless you're incredibly prone to seasickness, it doesn't really matter. The only thing you need to decide is whether you want inside, outside, or balcony, where you want to go and for how long. I'm leery on inside cabins because I tend to get a little claustrophobic but my girlfriend loves, loves, loves them. I've never had a balcony but it's my dream, someday. I usually do the cheapest outside cabin I can get. I don't spend much time in the room so it doesn't really matter. Older ships are cheaper, newer ones have far more amenities, though none of them are "bad." Really depends on what you're looking for. Carnival's the cheapest and frankly, I like it. The food's good, beds and pillows are super comfortable, etc. Royal Carribbean was good and had a better kids program but the rooms are smaller and the food wasn't as good. They will all have bars, pools and shows. Some have ice skating and rock climbing and putt putt etc.

A good deal on a cruise is generally considered $100/night or less.

rofl rofl rofl rofl

Seriously, Mikey, consider it. The rooms hold up to 4 people, and usually the 3rd and 4th person in a room get a fairly signficant discount, which means a cheaper all over rate for everyone, I'm sure we can find you a roomie or two.

But, the rooms are TINY, I really don't recommend more than 2 to a room unless you have to.
