How can you ''take their word for it'' in terms of the men that wrote the bible. You never met them. They were all alcoholics. And two thousand years later; you still believe them. Who were they? What made them special? How can you trust any of them?
Aside from these books; what would make you believe in a ''god''? Let's say you're a thinker. No supernatural being comes to you in a dream or in the day. You just like to look and think. Would you come up with the idea of a God? The big bang and evolution are both implausible bull crap IMO, but aren't all definitions of a God just as insane? I know we ''adapt''; but morph physically from an ape? Riiiiiight. And there was nothing......... then: BANG! You don't get something from nothing. You need catalysts. And think about the concept of forever. If you don't believe in the bang, you'd have to believe in forever. When does forever start? It doesn't. What was the first moment, first movement, first anything? There was no first. That is ''forever''. And it's impossible to grasp. I believe that maybe there are bigger more powerful beings (plural) than us, and they probably know things our minds can never comprehend with even the most thoughtful explanation. Do I trust two thousand year old drunkards? Not at all. |

Well according to Christians, you can do anything wrong that you want to. Christ already died for all the sins ever commited. had a few christians tell me i`m going to hell for not believing in there religoun guess god is going to have to off another son of his to pay for that sin I was told that because I'm Jewish I will go to hell for not accepting Christ as my saviour. My answer is simply that it says in the Ten Commandments that I should honor my father and mother. To change religions would be to ignore that obligation. No one has yet to offer a salient response to that assertion. Here's one - what makes you think you deserve to be with God in heaven? |

GOD GAVE US FREE WILL,,,, REMEMBER IT'S ONLY A TEST,,, GOD GIVE US MANY CHANCES TO PASS, GOD GIVES US CLEAR DIRECTION AND MANY CHANCES,,, PUT THE BLAME WHERE THE BLAME IS DUE !!!!! Pretty cruel test for the children killed in the tsunami in Malaysia. Let me ask you a question if those kids never accepted Jesus Christ into there hearts as there lord and savior, then did they go to hell when that tsunami struck? Did god know that was going to happen? Did he care? Could he stop it if he wanted? |

GOD GAVE US FREE WILL,,,, REMEMBER IT'S ONLY A TEST,,, GOD GIVE US MANY CHANCES TO PASS, GOD GIVES US CLEAR DIRECTION AND MANY CHANCES,,, PUT THE BLAME WHERE THE BLAME IS DUE !!!!! 1. If you are right, it's a ****ed up test. 2. Either God is omniscient, or we have free will. If God is omniscient, then he knows everything, including every choice we are going to make, therefore, the choice is just an illusion. If we have Free Will, then god is not omniscient, then way call it god? |

If God is supposed to know everything, and is supposed to have created us, how is it he didnt know we would become sinners? Surely he must have created us to be sinners? If he made us what we are, then how is it possible that anything we do is a sin? We apparantly fell from grace with God from the get go. If God does exist and he did create us, then i blame him for anything we do wrong. Either that, or there is nothing that we can possibly do wrong in his eyes. God did know that man would fall. Sin is simply anything against God. Bisobeying God by eating of the forbidden fruit is a sin, not because it was wrong, but because it went against God's will. |

God gave humans free will and does not interfere in our decisions. A lot of the assumptions people have always said about God are wrong as well. We humans have all the capability and resources to solve our problems yet we dont.

I think God created us and then let go. We have free will. That's why I don't believe we can pray for good weather or that "God was with the Orlando Magic when they won in overtime." Free will cannot be the answer to why we sin though because God must have known what we were going to do with this free will. God gave us free will because he wanted us to love him by choice, unlike the angels who were bound to him. Sin is an unfortunate by-product of free will. God has to take the bad with the good just like everyone else. |

My answer is simply that it says in the Ten Commandments that I should honor my father and mother. To change religions would be to ignore that obligation. No one has yet to offer a salient response to that assertion. Bad logic is just bad. That is so true! If Christians truly believe this, then the best thing they could do is burn all their Bibles and never mention Jesus again because by doing so all they are doing is potentially condemning people to hell. The whole religion is a train wreck anyway, IMHO. Jesus was totally misundstood, especially by the idiots who wrote the gospels claiming to speak on his behalf! Some religious teachers simply believe that the authors of the gospels were idiots. I'm not convinced of this myself. I think they were purposefully using Jesus to prop up the very dogma that Jesus himself denounced. How anyone could turn the teachings of Jesus into a threat to send people to hell is beyond me. It's clear even by the gospels that this wasn't his intent. I'm currently listening to an audio book on CD by Eckhart Tolles, he's speaking of enlightenment, and he refers quite often to the parables of Jesus. He explains them in a very meaningful way and shows why the authors of the gospels never even understood what Jesus was saying. In any case, life isn't about being judged or condemned to hell. That's a gross misunderstanding of what God is all about. That actually came from the mythologies of the God of Abraham and the Old Testament. Jesus actually denounced those old stories, and he clearly denounced the ways of the God of Abraham. In fact, that's the very reason he was crucified; for blaspheme against the Old Testament. Yet modern Christianity still uses Jesus to this very day to prop up the very dogma that Jesus himself denounced. If you want to know what Jesus really taught, study the teachings of the Buddha. Then flush the God of Abraham down the toilet. That's just another mythology no different from Zeus. |
