I dont understand the "down to earth" statement correlating with a stramp stamp or lack of. What does a tramp stamp have anything to do with it? There is this thing called "fashion"....and that is the fashion nowadays. Showing a little "back" is being a hoe? Im finding this statement to be "very close minded".noway

On the statement of independance....many people are independant and dont want YOUR help or want it. Even if they are trying to rub 2 pennies together and are having a hard time, because right now, last I heard, the economy is ****. And it could happen to YOU!!noway

My children are my life. Ive heard this one too and there are many contradictions on this as well. However there are some exceptions and you dont know why.....you can only JUDGE.

Not stupid, but I've always believed that getting names tattooed = bad juju :) My personal opinion, though, and not to be taken as a general rule!

Never in a million years would I ever get a SO/BF/Husband's name tatted on my body. However I do make the exception for my children an my parents. I don't feel it's bad juju then. shades

Good point. I should have clarified :) I've always used symbols rather than names, but it's a personal preference of mine. I know what they mean, those close to me know what they mean, and no one else has a clue, lol.

I think I know what he is getting at. everyone needs to re-read what he wrote. he's not lashing out at women who get tattoos and he's not lashing out at women who get the tramp stamp. You're all doing some river dancing on this fellow and you've not really read it clearly. he's not being offensive and what the hell is wrong with a man saying what's on his mind? whether we agree or not, women have been doing that for how long?

he questions the tramp stamp ONLY when it's a combo with "this is part of my display picture -as my profile- as in my idenity along with a claim to be wholesome"

we get tattoos for many reasons. some reasons are personal. some for fun, "always wanted that", and well some of us .. it makes us feel sexier. not saying all of the tramp stamps are really tramp stamps...and he did not claim that either... but when it's advertised along with an attempt at wholesome... a flag would go up. and more defining would be needed.

yes, tattoos are in fashion. lots of things are in fashion, however how we display ourselves is always up to us and we know when we look trampy and we know when we don't. we know when to flash the tats and when not to. we know when its not a big deal.. and we know when it's gonna be a bad frikken idea.

that said, nothing is wrong with tattoos. he said so. I'm saying so as well. look at what he actually said before you river dance and leave shoe marks on the back of someone's shirt.

looks good on paper, but unfortunately the world is not that black and white. you should have added a section there dealing with peoples inability to understand empathy. taking the vigilante cowboy approach to peoples actual problems with little to no understanding of them is not only overly insensitive, but garish and short-sighted as well.

i am glad that you have achieved personal and social enlightenment. i can only wish to obtain such a peaceful and confident outlook on my fellow earth-dwellers but i am afraid i am too busy collecting child support and then i have an appointment at fine-lines parlor to get a tribal tattoo grafted into me slightly above the buttcrack. its gonna look great.

Since when did "down to earth" mean wholesome??? Somebody....get the dictionary. And I dont need to reread what he wrote. I know exactly what he means. There are no boot marks....I just find it funny that people can be so close minded about others.

Its called Assume....Ass out of U and Me.

Btw......I have no tattooes but if I were to get one....even though Im "down to earth" would that make me a less than favourable person??slaphead

Never too late! Back when I was newly married, I got my husband's navy mascot tattooed on my back. After the divorce, I had it covered with another tattoo that meant something to me and me alone. *shrug*

And again, not suggesting that you do so, just saying there are options outside of laser surgery to remove.
