Trend, fashion, same thing....but what does getting a tramp stamp have anything to do with being down to earth? The independance part comes from the paragraph where he says these "independant" women are whining about not getting enough money from ex spouses etc.

Those were actually two seperate parts of the post. I was just basically referring to the independence part.

As far as I'm concerned, "fashion" is something like bell-bottom jeans -- and look how long they've been out of style. The difference is, even though tramp stamps may (hopefully!) go out of style as well, you can't get rid of a tattoo....at least not very easily. It ain't just gonna "go away" when the trend changes.

I wear bell bottoms!!!noway laugh laugh laugh

doesn't fashion repeat itself??? thought it came back in style??? laugh
rofl yes ive seen fashons come in and out 4 times

For me, if I wanted to get a tattoo, (I don't) to honor a deceased loved one, I'd place it on my arm or shoulder or ankle. I wouldn't place it just above my butt crack so I had to practically drop my drawers for people to see it. JMO flowerforyou

I Wanna Talk About Me Lyrics
Artist(Band):Toby Keith

Yeah, Yeah
That's right

We talk about your work how your boss is a jerk
We talk about your church and your head when it hurts
We talk about the troubles you've been having with your brother
About your daddy and your mother and your crazy ex-lover
We talk about your friends and the places that you've been
We talk about your skin and the dimples on your chin
The polish on your toes and the run in your hose
And God knows we're gonna talk about your clothes
You know talking about you makes me smile
But every once in awhile

I wanna talk about me
Wanna talk about I
Wanna talk about number one
Oh my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like talking about you you you you, usually, but occasionally
I wanna talk about meeeeee (me,me,me,me-background singers)
I wanna talk about me (me,me-background singers)

We talk about your dreams and we talk about your schemes
your high school team and your moisturizer creme
We talk about your nanna up in Muncie, Indiana
We talk about your grandma down in Alabama
We talk about your guys of every shape and size
The ones that you despise and the ones you idolize
We talk about your heart, bout your brains and your smarts
And your medical charts and when you start
You know talking about you makes me grin
But every now and then

I wanna talk about me
Wanna talk about I
Wanna talk about number one
Oh my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like talking about you you you you, usually, but occasionally
I wanna talk about me (me,me,me,me- background singers)
I wanna talk about meeeeeeee (me,me- background singers)
(I wanna talk about me- background singers)mmmm me me me me
(I wanna talk about me- background singers)mmmm me me me me
You you you you you you you you you you you you you

I wanna talk about ME!

I wanna talk about me
Wanna talk about I
Wanna talk about number one
Oh my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like talking about you, you, you, you, usually, but occasionally
I wanna talk about meeeeeeee (me,me,me,me-background singers)
I wanna talk about me (me,me,-background singers)
I wanna talk about me (me,me,me,me,me,me-background singers)
Oh me!

I can understand where you're comin from in ur opinion. For me puttin a tatt honorin my deceased Mom on the small of my back is a way to keep it private for just myself an a very extreme small group of people as in my Dr. and SO. I don't want the tatt to 'show off' to other's therefore the reason it's goin where it is. My tatts are for myself an not for anyone else's entertainment or admiration. shades

I dont understand the "down to earth" statement correlating with a stramp stamp or lack of. What does a tramp stamp have anything to do with it? There is this thing called "fashion"....and that is the fashion nowadays. Showing a little "back" is being a hoe? Im finding this statement to be "very close minded".noway

I get fashion sure, but the reference was a commentary on how certain people come off... it is along the same lines as these guys that wear their pants at the bottom of the butt showing off their underwear; that is a prison reference for someone who is open to receiving.

Clearly if she was showing off the Tramp Stamp and her G-String or T-bar she is not as down to earth as "My" standards might be.

People have a tendency to forget, in their haste to "follow the herd", certain social graces and their own self respect.

Close minded? Not at all... in fact, I find tattoos on women attractive; However, I find it less than attractive to flaunt oneself like on girls gone wild.

On the statement of independance....many people are independant and dont want YOUR help or want it. Even if they are trying to rub 2 pennies together and are having a hard time, because right now, last I heard, the economy is ****. And it could happen to YOU!!noway

Okay, I never claimed to assume that "Many People" wanted "MY" help.
I was not even talking about "Many People" to begin with. I was referring to "A" gold digger...
For the record, I have a few friends that if they were ask, I would help them no questions asked and they know it. Though I will not succumb to the verbal version of digging around in my pockets.

Yup yup... economy is crap...

My children are my life. Ive heard this one too and there are many contradictions on this as well. However there are some exceptions and you dont know why.....you can only JUDGE.

Sure there are exceptions to everything, I will listen to what someone has to say on their take of why "My Children are my Life".
and I am not going to Judge if I do not know... the reference I made here was pretty clear; The girl was a Dead Beat plain and simple... she likes to party, have children and pawn them off so she does not have to take care of them. The conversation I had with this girl was pretty straight forward.

some people get stuck in a rut, and others are able to blossom fast, it may have to do with outside stimuli, or it may be struggles from within, who knows. those that you don't approve of, you don't have to be with, for you have a choice, and you can make that decision if you want to by the grace of the powers that be. That said, they may not be able to at this time, or they don't have the knowhow, for there is no manual to give them,....i've looked, lol. they are growing at their rate. the best thing that we can do, is be patient of those that are not effecting us anyway....
for all you are doing is weeding through people and reading profiles! you're not marryin em!.......are you???

looks good on paper, but unfortunately the world is not that black and white. you should have added a section there dealing with peoples inability to understand empathy.

These references have nothing to do with empathy.
If you read the post I made you would see that "Gold Digger Girl" and "Dead Beat Mommy" were actual conversations.

taking the vigilante cowboy approach to peoples actual problems with little to no understanding of them is not only overly insensitive, but garish and short-sighted as well.

I am not even sure if our joking or not, because I find it funny, given your first two sentences...

i am glad that you have achieved personal and social enlightenment.

I am glad too...

i can only wish to obtain such a peaceful and confident outlook on my fellow earth-dwellers but i am afraid i am too busy collecting child support and then i have an appointment at fine-lines parlor to get a tribal tattoo grafted into me slightly above the buttcrack. its gonna look great.

Heh have fun with that... waving

well i dissagree also especially with the one about the child living with someone else.... for this happened to me... i took care of my daughter alone from age 3<divorce> till age 14.. yes her dad was very involved a great father, i was a great mother also... but she was in her school all her life who was i to not give dad the oppertunity to have her so she could finish her schooling with the kids she went to school with all her life? yes i kept custody of her but he had her and i gave him his money back etc.... so dont be too quick to judge for i moved out of her school district and he lived there still...and again i beleive i was a great parent for doing so, to give her dad a few yrs with her and her a few yrs with her wonderful father and to do what was in the best interest of the child.

Yeah... the reference on the dead beat mommy is completely different... as I said in another reply, this girl was actually pawning off her children for her own free time.
