Overall yes...having to do some tough things and will be unpopular with some, but I can look at myself in the mirror every day and know I'm doing the right thing. A best friend from the old company got her reprieve from the bad chain of command and is now in a management role and has courted me to come back, but I think I'm supposed to finish what I started here (even if I end up being unpopular with some people!) |

All I will say is this.
The job you are currently in called out to you. You went from a bad situation, to a situation that wasn't familiar. The thing is, if the former coworker has courted you to come back, can she guarantee that the entire situation that caused you to leave in the first place has been remedied?? As far as you being " unpopular " with some people... Being unpopular is a sign of one of two things. Either bad management, or good management. I am pretty sure you are one of the latter cases. |

I know I'm fixing a lot of things and that if I don't do it, a 25 year old agency that does a LOT of social good is on it's death bed financially. I don't want the doors to close under my watch - 82 employees depend on their jobs and thousands of people benefit from the services. I just have to trust that the Board courted me back to the interview table for a reason. I appreciate your support, my friend...you got to ride the crazy train when I was desperately unhappy and completely unsure of what/where I was going to land. Things do tend to work out the way they are supposed to :) |
