Why does the human brain associate music so intensely with so many experiences? Ya know....that's a really good question. I think it's because music is a strictly sensory experience. You hear it, and in some cases, feel it. I have heard it said that our brains react most strongly to remembered smells. But I think music might be very close as well. |

Is it in poor taste to beg? I'll go with the other dude's answer. Depends on the situation. |

Smell is pretty powerful, as well...but that's usually on a more subconscioius level for me. Music spurs my emotions, memories, energy level, etc in a way that I'm very aware of. Interesting to consider, though... So here's more to ponder: Despite the basic genetic/cultural differences in people & if sensory perception is basically common to all humans, why do you suppose there is such a HUGE difference in the way people react to music - I'm not just talking about choice of genre but in terms of the whole viceral response? |

And on a much more benign level...
How come there is always protein powder in the bottom of the mug from my protein shake - even if I use the blender? (It's nasty!) |

I'll get to the other question when I have more time to think about it. As to this one.... Protein shakes aren't actually fit for human consumption. If you want protein...eat a steak. lol |

How do you really know if someone likes you?? I have never been any good at seeing whether someone likes me or not. I'm definitely not the right guy to ask this question because I am utterly clueless. |

I suppose the huge difference comes from people being so utterly different. What works for one person and really gets them into the music isn't going to necessarily work for the next person hearing the same thing. It also has to do, in my own thoughts, with the mentality of the person involved. Some people are just more open to the visceral feelings that music can give you than others. |
