Well, I don't know much about your busing system or even school system,
Puerto Rico's enviroment is somewhat different, but I believe that you
should try to establish a parent group of all those that use your school
bus route and talk to the bus administration on their policies of
letting children of the bus before reaching their school. Have each
mother call the school to assure themselves that the children have
arrived - I am sure that after a few months of this hassle they will do
something to correct it. If they dismiss the calls and something does
happen - they could be liable.

Ideas can also come from the parent group on things to do to help each
other....

Well just something .....

OK the police called me cause my daughter and another student were at
the grocery store (you could tell they were kids and should have been in
school) one good thing is some one called the police to report juvienals
in the parking lot.. so the police came to see why they were not in
school....
my daughter said she wasnt feeling well and had to throw up.. so the
driver let her off the but.... the bus monitor did not go with her and
make sure she got back on the bus... they let another student go and
then they left them... told the kids they would pick them back up in the
afternoon run and drop them back off aht the bus stop I pick her up at
so the parent wouldnt know!

BULL $HIT!

so when the cop asked her she told him he called me and brought her
home.., me and the cop calle dthe school to find out why the bus didnt
report my daughter got off the bus... NO ONE CAN GIVE ME AN ANSWER AS TO
WHT I WAS NOT NOTIFIED!!!

well was your daughter really ill? i mean why did she call someone when
that happened? like if she was in the store in the middle of nowhere...
she could go in store have the store call someone for help... and was
the other childs parent home where they could be reached? or a work
number? humm..

Oh, you have every right to be mad at the bus driver and the school, but
if it were my daughter, she'd catch holy hell for it, too.

Also, I'm confused. Why was she ordered to go to that school?

her hand over his mouth.... i watched like i said.... finally he shut
up.. mouth covered only... and hand there for like not more than one
min!! well he had to stay in his room for throwing a fit.... door was
shut... well real quiet for like 20 min i checked in on him... window

You are NEVER overacting when it comes to your child!!! I've seen things
like this on our news many times! You do what you have to do to correct
the situation so it doesn't happen again!

I dont think it is down to the bus driver to make sure what kid gets off
at what stop...I would assume he picks up many kids from different
locations and drops them at a variety of schools..

It would be hard enough driving the bus with the rackets the kids are
making and with the traffic..

It would not be too hard for any smart kid to jump off the bus at
whatever location.

Is there a bus supervisor?? To make sure each kid gets on and off at the
correct stop.

why she is there is too long to get into.... just know that i have an
ongoing battle to get her out of there.. hence some of this court issues
i have this month... and well, i think that eyes are going to open about
the harris county system in the next few days regarding our children

fyi.... i just left info for the other news station

and i agree about this bus service being to blame, however.. the bus
service said they gave the school written documentation that my daughter
got off the bus and the school still did not call... and if it was
indeed the bus service responsibility to contact me like the school says
it was.. WHY DIDNT I GET A CALL PERIOD! why did it get as far as the
police calling me?
