Im a little uncomfortable having my photos displayed outright. So far it has not been that much of a problem as I notice many people here do not have their own photos up or they have nothing. I simply choose to get to know someone a little better before exchanging photos. It has not been a problem yet. I suppose some people might overlook you because of it. Oh well.

hmmm...i think it gives us an opportunity to meet/chat with some really cool people who, because of laws of attraction, we may not otherwise do so. don't get me wrong, if you have lot of pics of yourself, great, but for me, it's not a requirement...but, i'm only here for friends.

well i dont have anything to hide i just dont have a digital cammera...I knoe i live in this digital age and i am desperatly falling behind. to e honest this is my very first chat room and i just recently got my first e mail address. I am a chat room virgin.

If you happen across a profile like mine with no pics, continue on your journey. I change my default pic to suit my current mood or if I find a cute picture I'll post it, I get more annoyed with the window shoppers than with those with no pictures.

I am a chat room virgin. A) You don't NEED a digital camera, although it does make it easier, but it isn't necessary. Even if it's just a film camera, you can have a disc made of your photos when you get the pictures developed, then upload them onto your computer from there. B) You're not even required to have a scanner. C) This ain't a chat room. |

It doesn't really matter to me if there's a photo on the profile or not, especially if the basis of the correspondence is friendship.
On a romantic level, more often than not, the person becomes more physically attractive once I've already confirmed that they interest me on other levels. I know how I felt when I began chatting online, and did really want people to take an interest in what I had to say, rather than how I looked, and write to me based on that. However, if one really is interested in dating, a profile with clear photos, a close-up and full-length body shot, IS going to get far more looks and emails than one without. I wouldn't ever meet a person or invest a lot of emotional time with them if they never shared a photo and/or engaged in cam chats with me. I've no idea with whom I am chatting until that is done and my safety, both physical and emotional, is more important than hurting their feelings by asking for such. |

What comes to mind when you view a profile with pics that are blurry or distant enough that you can't really see what they look like? How do you feel about the ones who don't even have one of their own pics but have many inutile ones? The same way you feel..they are old, fat ugly or married

Shshssh what is bad is the ones that have pictures and it shows they have hair and they say they are 5'10 but then you meet them and it seems their hair is only about a half of and inch long and your looking at them eye to eye. Hummmmmmmmm guess that would not be too funny to some but when your only 5'3 and looking them eye to eye sure makes you go hummmmmmmmmmmmm
  And yes true story come to find out he had a hair piece on in the picture

I didn't have a pic for a long time, thinking someone I know might see it and give me grief (small enough town for everyone to think your business is their business - especially those who think they are like your brothers! There are some things a girl doesn't tell her brothers, after all!)
It's taken a year for my fears to be realized...someone I know DID spot me! I have SWORN HIM TO SECRECY and hopefully he will not blab to the "brothers!" |

If theres no pic, i tell em get a pic, and until then i wont talk to them. Its just creepy to not have a clue what they look like. I do mutual match, and go, no, no no, so much cos of bad pics, or people im just not attracted to, that no way with no pic. I dont mind pics of other things, but i dont consider them in any way more than friends til i see a real one.

personally... if you don't have a pic, don't bother me. seriously, if i can take the time to load pix and fill out my profile, you should too.
if your pix are blurry, well E for effort. now get a friend to take a clear one. and if you've got nothing but pix that aren't you for whatever reason, thats your business. you're obviously not here to meet someone for real. bing bang boom. |
