His own team.

As long as it's not Hendrick, I'm good. Haha.

Though I suppose I wouldn't hate him as much if he did.

But I'm pretty sure half the fan base would be furious.

In his interview he has great resrvations about jumping in the #3 car
that his daddy drove becuse his dad is the one that gave the #3 the
stature that it has. He really would rather leave that alone. He did say
that it would probably be a Chevrolet team so that narrows it down quite
a bit to Hendricks, his own team or Childress Racing. His goal is to win
championships fast.Hedricks would be the ultimate team. I just hope he
does not do that cause that would spoil the rivalry between the teams
and make it very lopsided towards the Hendricks organization.

The problem with that statement is that people who know nothing about
Nascar look at the drivers and play the blame game. The equipment that
is under a drivers ass makes the good driver a great driver. 25% of the
entire field of drivers could win the championship if they had the best
equipment and team backing them up. If your car is just a hair slower,if
your pit crew is just a hair slower. if your setup makes you a hair
slower in the turns you will lose the race. Don't blame the driver by
himself. Everybody knows he has had engine ,setup and pit problems all
year. He will shine with the new team if they set him up properly and he
will be a major threat again fo the championship. If they don't give him
the stuff he will go private and do it himself. Nobody out there has
more drive than Dale does to get some chamionships under his belt. This
is also his chance to prove that he can do it on his own.

Yeah, maybe he'll actually make a name for himself and have his own fans
for HIS driving and not because they liked his dad.

I think it'll be good for him really.

This whole ordeal is considered "the real-life soap opera" by Good
Morning America. Saw that this morning and laughed.

At least there is a decision made.

Just guessing here but he may have a personal services contract with
Chevrolet. Lots of drivers have these with their manufacturer. If he
does that would limit his options.

You are a funny one!! Jr. is retaining his Budweiser sponsorship and he
will have a lot more say on what goes on with the money. He will make
well over the 20 million dollars per year that he normally does because
all the fans will be converting the old #8 to his new number when he
gets it. The day that he announces what his new number is, will be the
day that he strikes oil because he will make a fortune in the first
month. He is about to launch into a major push to become more
competetive. He isn't doing this just because of a spat with that
air-head Teresa. He is looking towards the future of his own dynasty. He
has the support and money right now to do big things. He says he is
willing to take the gamble so that he can win instead of just getting
close. Teresa has made a huge mistake. She didn't think Jr. would leave.
She thought wrong. I see DEI going in the dumper. She should have been a
little more accommodating and less greedy. Now she owns 100% of nothing.
She was responsible for starting the souvenier business for Dale Sr. but
now they are both gone and she has nobody to fuel her t-shirt business
anymore. Anybody need a good used jet or a Garage Mahal? DEI will be
putting them up for sale. JR Motorsports is about to become an Icon in
Nascar racing. This will take a little time to smooth out the wrinkles
so I think that he will have a so-so year next year and then the ride to
the top will happen.

The more I follow this the more I think his step moma will cave in and
give him what he wants. She has no chance of succeding without his name,
and he has not made a commitment to anyone else. I think it is
negotiation by Reality, and she will give in.. Smart.......

Teresa would be fool not to give in unless she wants to retire and say
the hell with it all. If she still wants to keep her business going she
better come off her high horse and get a compromise going with Jr. cause
right now her horse is dead! Jr. is no dummy. He is probably hoping that
she agrees with him. Jr. just pulled the rug out from underneath her and
she is probably crapping her pants as we speak. Once it sinks in, she
may come crawling to him!!

Did anyone watch the interview with DW??

Did anyone else think he looked terrible due to stress and all?

I almost cried when he was talking about his father. (I'm a NASCAR fan
but I'm still a girl  ) Thought he might have too.

I'm not a fan in any way, but I do respect him. I do hope everything
turns out for the best. And damn, I sure hope Theresa learned her
f------- lesson. And maybe one day, because of this whole move, I might
be able to be a fan (even though I'm a Hendrick fan... hah!) That's
almost death to H fans! Haha.

I was out on the water..What is with DW's father? Is he sick? That would
stress out anybody. I lost my father last year to Lou Gehrigs disease. I
can relate.

Oh sorry. I meant, Jr's interview with DW... and Jr's father. My bad.

ohwell

OK I understand now...Jr is under really bad stress. You can imagine the
stress of leaving a team behind that has been like a family to him! Jr.
is real sensitive when it comes to family and I am sure he has been
shedding lots of tears over this whole mess. I just hope that he can get
into a good situation where he is happy and can concentrate on racing
again instead of family politics and future decisions. It appears that
he wants to take Tony Jr. with him as his crew chief but that all
depends on where he ends up. If he makes his own team he will probably
take most of his current crew along with him. Martin Truex Jr. may
follow him also later. It depends on his contracts with DEI.
His car failed inspection today too!! There was something wrong with the
bracket that holds the wing on the back. He may have to start in the
rear because of this.
When it rains it pours!!!
