Topic: Where will Dale Jr. Race Next Season! | |
---|---|
As far as being a fan...I fully respect the Hendricks camp and really
feel for the family when they lost 10 people in that plane crash here. I live only a half hour from Martinsville and I was in the stands at the race when it crashed and I saw the smoke rise up straight away from where I was sitting right before the race started. It gave me chills when I found out that I was looking at 10 souls going to heaven! I like several different drivers and if you didn't know it..Jr. and Jeff Gordon are good friends. Tony Stewart comes here every year right after the Nascar banquet in NYC to have a national race with the remote control cars. There is an indoor track called Coopers where he gives the owner $5,000 for trophies and operation costs. He actually owns one of the companies that make the R.C.cars. He has a blast and wins several of the trophies for himself usually. He just doesn't like the press very much always sticking cameras in his face. |

I think Hendricks is ploaying the game with Jr. saying that there is no
room for him right now. They are not dummies. The ones that crawl to him will have to pay a high price. The Hendricks strategy may be..let him crawl to us with a lower price in mind. I still think he will end up at RCR but if that doesn't happen Hendricks will be sitting in a position to get Jr. at a discounted price. Just like at an auction, you don't jump up and throw the whole wad on the table at once. You sit back and wait till the auctioneer says ..going once...going twice....then you chime in and give your starting offer hoping the rest are done bidding....SOLD!!! |

Budweiser will so follow Jr wherever he goes. The love is mutual there.
Jr will stay Chevy, I think. It will probably be Childress since that is the only feasable Chevy option. Hendrick would have to dump someone to bring him onboard and Joe Gibbs would not let him bring the Bud sponsor. Although, I do think it would br brilliant to have Jr and Smoke together on a team. Alas, Joe Gibbs does not go for beer/liquor or cigarette sponsors. |

DEI, the question is will DEI sport Chevys or Fords?
DEI will still run Chevys
Jr will go to Hendrick. I may be wrong...but if I'm right.....remember you heard it here first |

Tony Stewart and Jr. would have ssooo much fun together.I think that
being great friends means a lot and they would flourish racing as a team. The Budweiser is a major hurdle though and I don't think Jr. will let go of them. Childress is the all around best fit but I still think Jr. is feeling like he wants his own seperate legacy. He hears all the stuff about him tagging along on Daddy's name and I think it bothers him. GINN has great potential. They do know how to put a winning machine on the track. Mark Martin has shown that the GINN cars can win.Hendricks is still playing poker. Not showing their hand and with Casey winning that last race it will be more difficult for Hendricks to pluck him out of the seat. |

I think if Hendrick bounces somebody it'll be Kyle Busch not Casey
Mears. |
DEI is still going with Chevy cause they just joined with Childress in a
joint venture to have their engines built. |
It's again blowing in the wind about Jr. and Joe Gibbs Racing Hooking up
but I will not believe that one till I see it.Too much hate for beer in Gibbs heart. |
I think he will be right where he is wit 51% ownership and two or three
more teams. Either that or Childress. |
Lakeman-The latest rumors are that Jr may be leaving Bud behind and
going to Gibbs with VISA. Wowie! I don't know if my son will get over it, but I do know Joe Gibbs will not get over the beer. Read about it on jayski's site. |
I still think that its a chess match thou. Jr. will use Peter to get
Paul. This is super serious stuff. He will not let anyone know till the papers are signed which way he is going. He may leave Bud behind if he thinks Gibbs has the best package! Jr. is all about winning races NOW. |

Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr., racing together as teammates -- it's
a powerhouse combination of megawatt marketability that could become reality at Hendrick Motorsports as soon as Wednesday. Earnhardt has scheduled an 11 a.m. ET news conference at his JR Motorsports shop in Mooresville, N.C., during which he will announce his plans for next season, according to a team spokesman. Sources have indicated to NASCAR.COM that those plans center on Hendrick Motorsports, the most successful organization in Nextel Cup this season, with 10 race victories in 14 starts. |

just a thought |
HONESTLY HE SHOULD HAVE HIS OWN TEAM,AND QUIT HIDING BEHIND EVERYONE
ELSE. |
na not yet
but maybe in the future |

It looks like he is going to get the #5 car and Shrub is going else
where. Busch's contract is up in 2008 and there is talk of him leaving the Hendricks bunch. There may be some internal talks there that we don't know about. I think Busch was offered a deal somewhere that fits his crybaby attitude a little better...lol |
