Man, that's so true. Stopped going to the show, no one to talk to ABOUT
the movie! A lot of things that I enjoy, have been put on the back
burner. Except my outdoor, evening concerts. At least I can act crazy
there, and nobody would know me!!! (smile) (gotta get me some little
guys)

Lexfonteyne: Lol, I know what you mean about have to announce your every
move: "I am going in the bedroom to get on the computer now. I am going
into the kitchen to get a bottle of water now. I have a wild hair and
want to drive 50 miles to Target now, even though gas is $4 a gallon." I
really love not having to answer to anyone but myself! I don't know if I
could live w/a guy again. I know I will not get married again; that's
for sure. But some companionship would be nice.

With me, the case was usually I'd end up HAVING to be demanding, because
they weren't mature and responsible enough to do "what needed to be
done" without my having to demand it.

I demand that you be faithful to me.
I demand that you mow the grass when it needs it.
I demand that you take the trash out when it needs taking out.
I demand that you change the oil in the car when it needs changing.

Etc.

Why the hell should I have to tell a grown man what to do? I cut my
grass once a week, unless it's raining. If it needs doing, I do it, as
much as I'm able to, and as time permits.

To me, there is no excuse for putting off what needs to be done. (Of
course, I'm not saying that everything just HAS to be done "right now.")
But I hate having to play "mother" to a fully grown man.

So, in that respect, I'm perfectly happy being single 90 % of the time.

I like being single because I can talk to anybody I want; Go anywhere I
want and can meet new friends. Don't have to worry because I don't have
to get jealous for someone else because she thinks I should be jealous
of her. I don't have to deal with inlaws, outlaws or bylaws. My ex gave
me some good advice. She said that I bring it on myself; That we lived
in two different worlds and the counselor said we were codependant. The
divorce made both us a lot more happy. Don't have that halflife
experience from being with the other half, today. To be a whole person
is really different and has taking some getting used to but remembering
what it felt like to be a half person helps me to enjoy my single life.

Being single today has really helped me to appreciate little things
today that I didn't use to be aware of. Like if I don't clean up after
myself I and the house gets this funky odor. Being responsible for the
dogs has helped to settle me. I have managed to get rid of crutches like
checkbooks, credit cards and am learning how to get out of debt. Thanks
to President Bush taking away the crutch of claiming bancruptcy on
student loans I am getting to the point that I can start making
payments. Being able to have a social life I have had to make some
readjustments like learning how to live without much money. I am
learning how to get my needs and wants prioritized. Being single has its
drawbacks but so does being married. Damned if you do and damned if you
don't.laugh

Seems like some people are BORN to be single, while others reach for the
"UNATTAINABLE"! There is a longing, in some of us, that surpasses
everyday needs, and wants. To me, for me to truly enjoy life, there has
to be a sharing of love, to know that there's someone at home that has
your best interest at heart! We all know, it's a jungle out there, but I
prefer to come to the treehouse knowing Jane is there waiting to throw
that love on me!!!

ThatS a really good question!

Like about being singlE:
No one to tell me what I can or cannot do.
Sometimes I enjoy the quiteness of being alone.
No one else to pick up after-just myself.
I can do anything I want and there is no one here to see it.

Dislike about being single:
No one to do things with or share things with.
Loneliness.
No one to cuddle with and love.
Being single in general-lol.

The best part is not having to listen to anyone. I can do my own thing
when I want, no questions asked.

The worst is not being able to share memorable moments w/ that someone
special. Just having someone who will be there for you is a great
feeling.

Well I've been single for a little over a year now and for awhile, I was
happy with it because I could meet whoever I wanted.....But now, it's
getting to the point where I want to be with that special someone and
possibly settle down, in the future. I just don't want to wait until I'm
in my middle 30's..........

what i like this time around is that i am more mture and see things
differnt and i am able to enjoy the little things in a relationship.
I also like the fact that I can have a second chance and it feels like I
am a teen all over again.

I also like the fact that I don;t have to iron anyone's clothes lol

Be single has some cool advantages but what I hate the most is bed time.
Crawling in to my big old king size bed and not having someone you care
about to cuddle with, to reach out and touch, a neck to kiss, curves to
feel and above all to know that in the morning you will wake with
someone that you care for and someone who cares for you………

I hate bed time so bad that I stay up till I have fallen asleep at my
computer, on the couch or even on the floor………..

Well, I kind of don't like the drunk chicks I meet in bars, with their
problems of drinking up everybody's pay check then falling down and
bruising their fannies or whatever.

On the other hand I kind of like the drunk chicks with their jokes and
sexy wiggles, trying to get more guys to spend their money on drinks,
and explaining about the bruise on their foreheads from falling out
drunk by saying, quit all that smiling like a doughnut and you won't
have that trouble.

I mean you gotta go with the ebb and flow of the drunk chicks.

I bet this is not the answer you were looking for.

Being single is great, but then it sucks too.
