God speaks to us in many ways. One of His tools are people. He uses our voice to speak His word. If what we are saying is not contrary to His word and that word is applicable to the situation, then we know it is Him who speaks not us. Who voulunteers to be the bearer of bad news? The truth hurts but can be done lovingly.
I sorry if your offended, but its the Most High whose using me. I give Him the glory because He is worthy. This is showing love.......when you turn a sinner from his way and save his soul from judgement. Just curious, do you EVER say anything that are not God's words? Why would you ever have to? Also, do you believe all Christians are 'wrong' in their belief that the Old Covenant was basically rendered obsolete after Jesus death? Are you as hard on all those Christians as you are gays and lesbians? Are you as hard on all those Christians who get divorced as on gays and lesbians? (even though divorce, according to the Bible is basically not possible) If all those people who get divorced re-marry are they committing sin upon sin? So I suggest you go DIRECTLY to the Christian forum and speak the words of God in the same manner that you speak them here against gays and lesbians. They are sinning no less, yet you feel compelled to be here. Why? |

I have to say, I originally didn't know why I started this topic, but I am glad that I did. It's grown more than I thought it would, and has been very interesting reading what people have been saying on all sides. Many good points from all sides as well.

It's a scientific fact that you are who you are and your sexual orientation and preference is one you are born with. It's not a choice. I'm sorry but your speaking from a common idea but not truth. If you look at the 3 major studies done, it was inconclusive "why" people were bi/gay/les. The Gay community touts those 3 major studies but if you read them, it says "we don't know...". @Estena. Point blank. This question was never raised for hundreds of thousands of years, or if it was, it was never recorded/found. Christianity was pure, then got organized, then grew exponentially, then was tyrannical, and now losing it's voice. Christianity, is following Christ and His teachings. Buddhism is following the Buddha's teachings. Etc. Etc. So, if you want the bare bones of what Christ taught, I don't think you'll find an answer (Going strictly by what the Gospel says He said). If you consider the book of Revelation (first few sentences say "Revelation of Jesus Christ, spoken through John"), then you'll have a clear answer. No. I think you should look aside what Republican/Christians say (don't get me started with repubs....omg, Christ would weap at such things) and just look at what your religion says, since that is your question. In America, you can do and say what you want. You have that freedom and liberty. You can make any blend of Christianity that you want. You can be a "Christian Prostitute" or "Pedophile Priest" etc. Without having immediate consequences. The real issue is your conscience and the teachings of your religion. Obviously your conscience is doing something, or you wouldn't have asked... But I hope this helps, despite all the hate messages and bs other people were writing. :) |

darn, the OP is all over the place... maybe stop tyring to please everyone else, and get to know yourself... and loose the fear you seem to have of being who you truly are...
hypocracy is a defense against realizing and admitting to yourself who you really are... good luck! |
