imagine if you will,
a brain freeze lasting for hours or a kidney stone in your head that is what it's like mine anyway (headaches) and doctors, most, don't care and don't believe unless they get 'em themselves Nurses are just as bad especially the ones that say" oh, I get those, all you have to do is take an excedrin" I say " Horse Hockey" |

4 advil
2 alleve 2 aspirin Takes care of it for me if I get to it fast enough. Sometimes you don't know it's going to be that kind of headache until it's too late. |

Imitrex injection work okay for me but I get more than what you can take, two in 24 hours , sometimes mine last daily, once or twice for almost 8 weeks at a time they suck most of the oral meds don't have time to work before they come right back up |

When ye ol spine twisted like a candy cane and it took 12 hours on the table to fuse it back straight...the time on the table alone,left permanant damage in leg muscles. Hey ladies...Dont do boy work all your life...I learned the hard way.

I get optical and cervical migrains...try a micro tens machine on your shoulders and pac with ice...after many painful blind days...this works for me.

Been trying to get the VA to give me a Tens unit for years
I have nothing good to say about them at the moment so I will refrain from saying anything about them at this time  meaning the VA , not the TENS unit |

I think pain can be subjective...I was diagnosed at age 14 with a degenerative joint & bone disease...some can handle more pain than others...I'd like to think I can handle a lot...  *sighs* as i share this disorder, i'd have to agree with you. my pain tolerance is incredibly high. i even pulled one of my own molars with no anesthetic. for me, state of mind is critical. the worst pain i've ever been in was following the suicide of my fiance'. my mind was in a very dark place, and i couldn't shut out my body anymore...the worst year of my entire life. Yes...I'm of the frame of mind to think that emotional pain can exascerbate physical pain...& sometimes chronic physical pain can bring on depression...just an endless cycle...until you pull yourself out of it...BTW...thanks again for the link to the Ehler's-Danlos site...it's nice to know someone else understands...

my last gall bladder attack i had before surgery was without a doubt the worst physical pain i ever had , thats even with 25 hours of labor only to have a c-section with my daughter , 2 c-sections one for both my sons, sliding across the school parking lot on my left arm and leg and losing about a one inch chunk out of my elbow , two tattoos being used as a jungle gym for kids ages 8-1
okay well either my gall bladder attack or having an abcessed tooth , they are pretty much tied |

thats an easy one. i blew me knee out when i wrapped it around a goal post play'n hockey. i saw the blade of my skate, while i was inside the net. 4 surgery's to fix it. not only was it plainful, but i lost my chance to play hockey at a higher level. the topper to this is the guy who tripped me , is play'n in the NHL.

Had a slight mishap that left me with a broke back in 3 places 10 ruptured or bulged disc ,in the shoulder a total tear of the labrum , same with the rotator cuff and a detatched glenoid . Having all that happening at once kinda tingled
