I've never been fond of politics. It stresses me out.

I hate paying taxes so I try not to. (The government even wants a cut from trading and bartering. Greedy bastards.)

Tax collectors were some of the most hated people in the Bible. They still are. LOL

That's why I'm soon to be an accountant; so that people like you can claim every deduction in the book!

In tax class, we refer to the government as "the guy on top of the mountain".

Good for you. When I start making thousands of dollars via Internet Marketing, I'll seek you out. I would rather give my money away than pay income tax.

What you can do if you work from home is to claim everything you buy as a business expense and it's all tax deductible. You can save a loooot of cash, but you will pay through your nose if you ever decide to sell your house.

Interesting. I didn't know that part about the house.

It is true that they collect taxes. But this is not their purpose.

You must NOT incorporate (this is why everyone advises to incorporate).

I don't intend to incorporate. According to them you are already a corporate entity anyway. When you capitalize your name, that is your corporation. That is why they always capitalize your name on your taxes. You are a corporate entity already.

I used to have several business occupations and each one had a different name. I got tired of too many names. They are called aliases. So now the name of my company is my name, capitalized.

Once I answered my phone by one of my business names and it was the phone company calling me. What rotten luck. They said if I was using my home phone for business purposes I had to make it into a business line. The only difference is that you have to pay twice as much for a business line. This really ticks me off. So I have solved that problem. I can answer my phone with my own name, which is also my business name and they can't do anything about that. LOL.

What percent of your parents, or grand parents incomes were spent on taxes...maybe 3% or 5%, not like the 50 60 % we are paying now.

If they were paying 3% or 4% back then, I think those taxes still hurt when they were only making about .50 cents an hour.

5 % of a dollar is what 5 cents?? 60 % of a dollar today is what..60 cents...do the math...

your income is taxed

your spending is taxed

your land is taxed

your sport is taxed

your enjoyments are taxed

those that produce the above listed articles are taxed

thus they add said tax into the purchase price of said articles

you are probably taxed nearly 60 - 75% of you productivity if you add in all the hidden taxes

Percents to remain the same in proportion to whatever you make. So it would have made no difference.

not sure i can agree drivin

100 years ago there were almost no taxes

they have been taxing more and more things every year

so if there was 1/2 dollar tax on a pack of smokes and now the tax is 2 1/2 dollars it is not the same sorry

by the way i remember when a pack of smikes were .35 $

that does not even cover the tax now

Everyone should just trade and barter and screw the taxes. I don't approve of what the government is doing with the tax money. They don't have my permission to give it to large corporations or illegal aliens.

Trade and barter. Don't pay income tax. There is no law that says you have to pay income tax. Income tax is voluntary. Don't pay.

Federal reserve notes represent debt. They are not real money. There is no real money. They want you to believe there is money but Federal Reserve notes are notes. They are I.O.U's that represent debt.

Real money is backed by gold and silver. The Federal Reserve is broke. That is why banks are failing. There is no real money.

The currency of this world is drugs, gold, silver, weapons and people (slaves.)

What i am saying, is 4% tax back then is proportionate to 4% tax now. That was all i am saying. Percents work that way.

If you made $1000 a year back then, 4% would equal $40.

If you make $100,000 a year today and there was a 4% tax, it would be $4,000.

But, i agree that we are paying 50% or more in taxes (if you are middle class). And people still b!tch about the economy. Screw that.

Besides, the supreme court stated back in 1918 that income tax was to be on corporate profits and gains only. In 1920 they stated that if you weren't taxable before 1913, you aren't taxable afterwards. You make yourself liable by filling out your federal income tax forms because you aren't allowed to lie.

Unfortunately there is a 50/50 chance you will get in trouble for not paying them. But many people have fought it and won.
