How many applicants for college are minortiy status, either black, asian, women or any other considerd minority? I do not know the answer, I was just asking for those that might know.. I stated before that I don't beleive that pouring money into broken projects are the answer to overcoming our problems in the inner cities, if that were the case, we would have shining examples in our inner cities to show the world since we have poured billions of dollars into our urban centers.. But we don't, just like our broken education systems, we waste more money thinking that if we continue to feed a problem, it will go away,but just like anything else, is just becomes a bigger problem

Let me ask you a question, if they would have fired her for her beliefs, would she have a right to sue them, and what would be the public outcry from that happening??? And if you had an employee that made you look like and idiot in public and caused great controversy to yourself and business, would you fire her for that or would you be smart and look for some other way to fire her???

So boo, do you think that people and our president should air our dirty laundry in front of the whole world, and that by doing that we can better work together against those issues that are dangers and great possiblities in the world??

I don't know enough about that part, but being in business it is easy to find some loophole to make things happen when you want to fire someone..I will have to wait to find out more about the facts before I make my judgement, and that is all I asked of all those that wanted to jump to conclusions based on cyber talk instead of facts.

so you will have employers looking for ways to reduce their cost and will find it by not paying or providing healthcare for their employees...why pay it when the government has set up a program to provide it...do you really think business, conservative or liberal will keep paying for something when the government is willing to take on that cost??? or are they going to pass laws dictating healthcare coverages by private businesses??

Acorn and it cohorts are exactly the problem, people wanting something they do not earn, and wanting everyone that does earn to pay their way..the inner cities are trash bins with all the blight, unemployment, poverty and liberal control, name me a large city that is not in financial trouble today?? Show me an innercity that is vibrant and functioning in perfect harmony as liberal socialist thinkers believe in..where are they??? Just like our education system, we spend thousands more for each child then anyother country, yet our students are failing at alarming rates and not getting better, what has Acorn done about that...NOTHING!

What I am saying is that I do not support any intervention by the government and you and I both know that government taking over the healthcare industry is not the answer. It would be nice to have a plan that covers everyone, but that is not financially possible, unless you have a declining population and you maintain your tax base to support more government. Our government is so inefficient and when money is taken out of our pockets to give to those that need it, only 5 cents of every dollar reaches those that need it, you can throw billions and trillions of dollars at a problem and that won't make it go away..we have seent that already. When did medical care become a right, instead of a desire?? Now I am not without a heart, and would not want anyones brother to die from lack of treatment, but how much can we pay out and not collapse?? When the receivers of programs outweigh the taxpayers...who will cover the cost then??

I understand that the system is not perfect, but destroying it when other alternative ideas are out there is crazy. Retail clerks union charges minimal health care premiums and have great coverage for their employees, why can't we co-op these insurance plans to allow individuals to add to the group and benifit from low cost health care??

And you know for certian that she is not living up to her contract?? or are you taking the word of people that tried to flog her in the national news rooms???

It is a world wide panic button to make everyone come under it's influence...if you scare people with it, they will panic and give you what you want..look at what is happening in our nation now...panic and the government spending more of our money ..

Our inner cities are failing day after day because of all the "Programs" to improve the lives of the citizens, so if you do the same things to the nation that they are doing in the cities, what are you going to expect?? Failure on a national scale!

You are missing the point, destroying a whole system for a small amout of people is not necessary..you don't have to re-invent the wheel, you have to figure a way to help those that are in need of it.
And I did take a 25% pay cut to prevent more people from being laid off and cutting costs, $60,000 worth of cuts, and I did it voluntarily.. When you bleed others like me and those that make even more, dry, who is going to pay for all these brilliant ideas???

I believe in adoption and encourage anyone that has a desire to adopt to do so, I think it is great that people have a big enough heart to open their lives to adopt a child..I just think too much has been made about her going overseas and adopting children, we have all different types and nationalitites here that deperately need to be adopted,and how can we look at ourselves highly for doing so when we have thousand of children in desparate need right here.

I think that is the way that most things get transfered, but the principle is still the same, good hand washing, even children washing their hands...aggghhh I can't believe I said that!! hhhahaha

And winx, I did have a child, a daughter, but she was taken from me in an accident years ago along with my wife...I do remember those days still..

we will talk again in a few years and see if you feel the same then, if things change and my taxes go down and government is less intrusive in my life, then I will admit that I am wrong...but I don't think I will be.. :)

I guess if you believe all they write in those so called newspapers and TV news programs, then I guess you could be right, but I prefer the facts before I will make that judgement of her..most people just didn't like her opinion, and they want to destroy her any way they can..it is a shame that America has come down to this kind of thing..dont' you think??
