A great tv show. Some of the best writing ever and it still holds up today. And it just got better as it matured.

It is the 'I Love Lucy' of the 21 first century as far as reruns go.
And similarly you could splice together different episodes and not know the difference.

I really enjoyed MASH when it was on prime time and I will even watch it now if Im flipping through the channel and run across it. Im pretty sure I have seen nearly every episode. One of my favorites is when Hawkeye is having dreams. That one was more serious. The Colonel Blake's death episode was very good also. Evidently they kept that secret from the entire cast. They only knew that Radar would come into the OR and tell them something but they didnt know what.

 Actualy, this is not true at all. Where as "I Love Lucy" kept pretty much the same tone for it's entire run,M*A*S*H* did some very comical episodes and some very serious ones. Also, there is a huge difference between the Blake and Potter years be seeing you

I actually ran across a station that was running it this weekend, watched a couple of episodes. It was like a little gift....I haven't seen it in so long. Just when I think I've seen every episode at least 5 times, one I haven't seen will pop up every once in a while. Yeah, I'm a M*A*S*H junkie!

Actually such a junkie that a friend at work had the complete dvd set. We knew the episodes so well that he would put the dvds on and just listen to the audio. We could watch in our "minds eye' while working without the actual distraction of a screen.

The days went by SO fast.

Goodbye Hawkeye, So long Houlihan
B.J. and Klinger, Winchester and
Father Mulcahy and Colonel Potter gone
The party is over but the players will live on

The party's over everybody's gone
Anyone ever hear this song?

The Party's Over......

Now I know just how it feels
To really be alone
Was his Dad down at the station
When he reached Crab Apple Cove
His Mama waving from the kitchen
Was his cow down by the road

Did they throw a bash in Boston
Were the little girls all grown
Did they turn out in Toledo
To watch a man come marching home

Laughter was the remedy
You prescribed for every wound
Even suicide was painless
You even laughed at doom

Every week it was something
That needed to be shown
You sometimes hid the message
But you always brought it home

my favorite show ever!!! lol i worked 2nd shift for yrs and my middle son and i would stay up all nite and watch it...no one likes to watch it with us though, cuz we say the lines back and forth to each other...
fun for us, irritating for anyone else in the room...lol i never knew the theme song had lyrics until about a yr ago...i'd never seen the movie and my son called me from a trip to DC in the middle of the night as started singing it to me...he was killing time and watching it in his hotel room...
