Is their intentions to be friends? It sounds like they are invading and maybe gossipy.. Atleast that is the impression I got...

I would never turn down a chance to be friends with neighbors...

However it sounds like this gentleman is annoyed by invasion of privacy... So my question is what led it up to this point? Therapy what is the history behind your feelings of being post?? ...Or am I being to Nosy? ha!rofl

Tall fences make good neighbors

Ditto, and by not talking to them at all.

Agreed... I learned the hard way that you just can't be friends with nosy people...if you give 'em an inch, they'll take a mile. I may nod my head in their direction & try to be a considerate neighbor...but that's about as far as it goes... And if all else fails...answer the door in the nude...

The most my neighbours get is a half smile and a nod

"Nosy" Neighbors ??? Neighbors who are unduly interested in your affairs...

frustrated

board up your windows and burn your neighbors house down.

problem solved.

Write "bugger off" in their lawn with round-up.

I was thinking - why not give them a reason to stare? Get the paper in a see through nightie, leave the windows open and shades pulled for a little audio show, etc.

He!!, if they are going to gossip, give 'em a reason to

Build a privacy fence around your property. On the outside of the fence, post signs like "Beware of Dog" and "This property guarded by a fully loaded Smith and Wesson."

Oh that drives me nuts...my neighbor, across the street is totally creeping me out. He gets up early in the morning and has commented that i am working on the computer at strange hours...I feel as thought I am being stalked and have moved my laptop into the kitchen so he cannot see me working and have dimmed the lights so he cannot see in the house as much.

FYI~ I am remodeling and have to replace the windows so I am holding off on window dressings until that happens.

Let them know every little thing you're doing. Call them and let them know when you're about to take a shower. Invite them along for the ride to the store and tell them you just thought they might wanna know which store and what you were getting there. If they don't go, take some pictures while you're there and give them to the neighbor when you get back. Write down your minutes of the day in a journal and turn it in on a weekly basis. Turn up your music so they can hear what you're listening to. Give them a xerox copy of your prescription from the doc and tell them it's for your butthole warts.

Eventually they'll get either disgusted by or tired of all the work it takes to keep track of you.

Be elusive and disarming. If they go outside, go back in and come out in 5 minutes. Wave at them vigorously and say "hi, how are you?" Ask them if you can borrow a cup of sugar or their lawnmower. If you keep asking for things, they will probably start hiding from you.
