Oooops, I'm sorry my pic is so big. I've resized it twice in Photobucket. There it's only 500 x 300 pixels. But here it still shows up as the original size, despite editing the link. If it bothers someone, I can remove the pic completely.
Edited to say: Ahhhh, there we go! It helps to actually SAVE the resized picture. Ha! |

All of these stories are so heartbreaking... It hurts my heart to think about my lil Chihuahua, Geecho. He was my Mother's dog until she got sick with terminal cancer...she entrusted him in my care, saying that he would always be my faithful buddy... When she moved in with me during her final months, it was like a homecoming...& Geecho stayed by her side...
3yrs later, a neighbor's dog (who was allowed to run loose all the time) murdered my sweet lil boy...right in front of me. It was on a Sunday & we lived in the country, so all the vets were closed... I cried & held him in my arms for 12hrs till he drew his final breath... Oh hell! Guess I needed a good cry this morning... I had him cremated & plan on incorporating his ashes into a Memory Stone to be placed in the garden. Might sound weird to some, but I've buried many pets & had to leave them when I moved...this way I can take him wherever I go...& think fond thoughts of him while sitting in the garden... My sincere condolences to you, Jas... |

... who was dying? several over the years...it's hard they're like your kids...my 16 yr old bassett died two days before christmas...we'd already stuffed her stocking...we left it hanging for a while then took her goodies and new bag of food to the local animal shelter...and did NOT come home with a replacement...though i did adopt a 2 yr old cat a couple of months ago from a 97 yr old lady that had to go to a nursing home...she calls every couple of days to ck on her "baby"...lol her baby is the dumbest, ugliest, most clumsy cat ever...but we spoil her to death and my son says it's a good thing we took her cuz most people wouldn't love a retarded cat like her... |

Phuque, a memory stone is so imaginative! I never thought of that!
Years ago when we built a sidewalk around the house, while the cement was wet, I had Sam put his paw prints in it. One day, that's all that will be left of him. begeorge, that's so funny about the retarded cat! |

Yes I had to put my beloved Simba down a year and a half ago, she was 14 years old and had her from a pup, she had a stroke after out daily walk and she died in my arms. She was the BEST friend I have EVER had!! I had her creamated and when I go our ashes will be mixed and scattered

I had my dog Squirell for 6 years before she had to be euthanized last Summer. She was so sick and suffering for 3days before I was able to let go and take her to be put down. I was devestated and still am a little. Everytime I see her clothes hanging in my closet I get a little weepy but I can't bring myself to get rid of them.

I live on a plot of 15 acres and my precious cats tend to either run away or die most of the time.
;-; I may be 18 but I still cry every time. |

After I lost my husband in a car wreck, I got a King Charles Cocker Spaniel - Sebastian. Not only did he take a snake bite for me (water moccisan), but he stayed with me when I lost my twins. Not long afterwards, he passed away from tumors in both of his ears.
I miss him. |
