I would like your opinion on... relationships on line... is all relationships here temporary or not... are there some here who are here for mindgames/con-artists or to find a partner in love and/or companionship... All of the above  Just pick a straw |

All relationships are temporary since we are mortal. There are con artists everywhere else, so why wouldn't they be here? The ones who claim to be your friend are the ones to watch out for first. Life sux. Playa's everywhere be it internet or real life. Some are true and some are fake. Ya just gotta find the fakers out and cut em loose. |

In my experience of the net, most people here are here for fun and chatting. A lot are here for themselves and what they can get out of others, a lot are looking for something meaningful. Of that last group. They're mainly untrusted because of the people who are here playing games. It's difficult to know who's who. Life isn't exactly easy online for genuine single people sometimes. Honesty comes across as saying what they want to hear. Caring can come across as being overbearing. And I think it's because of the lack of eye contact and body language. The thing with that is, you can't even ask for eye contact and body language anymore. Webcams have got everybodies back up due to the amount of abusers. Real life is much better

this site is pretty much a dead zone when it comes to dates. id try some place more active like OKCupid maybe even PlentyOfFish.
if you want to find usable forums Mingle is cool. net dating is like regular dating cept you dont have to gat off the couch and put pants on... but what if regular dating was like that!?!? awesome! |

yes
yes and yes been doing online for years and have made a number of good friends but have come across a lot more transitional chatters. I prefer real life as well....lotsssss easier to spot the fakers. However, I am still here as it does tend to be a good diversion. I also still play the powerball hoping to win too though lol and we all know the chances of that.... |

Speaking only for myself I found someone who I am in love with on the net. We are very much in love with one another. Spend every moment that we can together and can't wait to hear each others voice when we have been apart for to long. He is getting to know when I don't feel well by the sound of my voice and always does what he can to cheer me up. He is a true gem. I stay on here because I have such great friends on here. I wouldn't give it up and my boyfriend doesn't expect me to. He loves that I am unique and speak my mind when need be. I don't let anyone walk over me nor do I let others speak to him that way.

AT the end of the day, each one who is here, is here for a reason, from seeking love to being a con artist towards the vulnerable... But the advantage here, one can be less committed to any form of relationship, just exit and change name and start all over again... With better skills or with a new begining to conquer or decieve, fall in love or not, it is best to just stay balanced and ahead of all the flaws that came with being on line... This is another world of its own, with trappings, sadly sometimes there are those, who think this is reality, and forget about the real world outside. |
