I remember when i was little
you were always there for me you loved me more than my mother and it was all so plain to see When i was 16 and on my own everyday you'd clean my home leaving dinner and a note which to me was like a poem Every week i'd cut your grass never expecting anything but you'd keep after me until i'd just give in Rigging gillnet in your yard you always made sure i was fed sometimes my belly was so full i could hardly count the mesh coming in from working on the water i remember your warm caring smile i'd hear that bright "hi willy" i knew you loved me like your child you were the only one to call me willy without me getting fighting mad and if you don't beleave me look around and ask my dad i mourn not your death for i know your in heaven above i mourn that theres a pause in seeing your unselfish love I love you Grandmom 5/7/15-4/6/09 W.A.M. 4/6/09 |

it amazes me how we share such similar memories with those we love... it shows me that there are so many similarities between humans, yet we're so different. i'm glad you got the chance to reflect on your grandma, and that by doing so, you reminded us all to cherish our loved ones.

That was simply beautiful! My grandmom has been gone several years now, miss her like crazy. My son's babysitters mom passed yesterday as well, she called me in tears, I felt so bad for her.
