Not all of us are " afraid " of commitment. Some of us have just been burned severely and are now very cautious about who we give our hearts to. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cautious I smell denial.

I don't see men as being afraid of committment.If that was the case,they wouldn't have friends,pets or take care of responsibilities...which all of these require some form of committment.
You have to let the other person have time to deal and heal their past hurts.If they feel safe and secure they will heal at their own pace. |

i don't know everyone is different, my ex boyfriend dropped me like lead balloonn cut me out completly but i mean i was lwys there for him when he was sick i would make him food bring it to him, then one day after talking about starting our lives together just told me to find someone else ad that was it

Commitment is a double edge sword... first, if you care too much about someone, they run away, if you don't care enough they run away, If by chance you find someone, become a statue until they ask why you are a statue.. then give them your love. If you become a statue and they never ask why, then it's over anyway....
If you care too much and they don't like it you may even get a text message telling you it's over. ask me I know.... |

and i also agree with griffin, my ex ran away just stopped calling i let him go though once he wnted out i cant change how he felt maybe i will get another chance someday :)

The short answer is no. Not all men have given up on real committment. Some have, maybe b/c enough girls tend to go for jerks.
A female friend, to distinguish from gf, once told me that I was a nice guy and that nice guys finish last...someday someone will finish last with me. I t takes patience and work and not everybody is willing to do that. My 2 cents. |
