lol! our lack of melanin causes idiocy.

Melanin? Take some melatonin and sleep it off buddy!

I'm kinda torn here. I don't like racist comments and it's especially alarming when it's the leader of a country making such statements.

On the other hand, Brazil still remains my favorite South American nation for three reasons:

1. Best damn fútbol (soccer) team in the world.
2. Hottest she-males in the world.
3. Best damn fútbol (soccer) team in the world.

Isn't Bank of America owned by the Swiss?

And what do European Alps folk look like again?

Why are we Americans so self centered that we think this little Brazilian dude is refering to us necessarily?

Yes, I'm defending Brazil... the country that produces 87% of the world's finest she-males...!

“This crisis was caused by the irrational behaviour of white people with blue eyes, who before the crisis appeared to know everything and now demonstrate that they know nothing.”

He added: “I do not know any black or indigenous bankers so I can only say [it is wrong] that this part of mankind which is victimised more than any other should pay for the crisis.”

-President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Brazil

ok...can someone tell me what part of this isn't true???

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shemale

In LGBT communities, especially amongst transgender individuals, the term is considered offensive for its connotations, associations with sex industries and implication that one's gender identity is less than genuine. It is often seen by transsexual people as a term of abuse.
~~~~~~~~~~~
For others, who don't know it's real meaning but use it anyway, it's usually meant to be insulting. To me people need to have more respect for being both male and female, then maybe we wouldn't feel the insecure need to insult people capable of expression either way or in both ways.
A woman who has both feminine and masculine attributes is quite attractive in my opinion. I find many strong women that way. Appearance wise they often don't look either masculine or feminine. Some women can be quite feminine in appearance and masculine in other ways.......
I think we in America tend to exaggerate both to the point that if a woman doesn't wear make up she is classified as gay, and if a man is not macho he might be assumed gay. And if one is gay they too often feel the need to exaggerate, wonder where they got that from?!
Actually, I believe you should ask what part of this is true instead. The answer to that would be very little. When in political trouble (like Luiz is) or gaining political support... pander to the lowest common denominator and seek to place blame elsewhere with over-generalized/vague statements. He's merely rendering a personal opinion to help take the heat off himself by scapegoating. He could have named specific names to support his claim but didn't. The only difference here "Zionists/Jews" was subsituted with "white people with blue eyes" is all.
I submit... How do we know that this "crisis" wasn't created intentionally by VERY rational individuals (of different eye colors and races)? The call for a world currency has been gaining a lot of traction as of late. As per Luiz's claim of not knowing any "black or indigenous bankers". Perhaps Obama can introduce Luiz to Franklin Raines of Freddy and Fannie fame for economic advice. I don't know any Asian bankers either; However, I'm confident they do exist and some being very powerful/influential in the global marketplace.
Farid Zacaria had a good interview with him this morning
he blames us personally (Americans) for the financial crisis. He says we are all greedy and have been living an unrealistic lifestyle and basing it all on credit and borrowing and the rest of the world is now paying for it
(and he wants a permanent seat on the Security Council)
While I agree we americans share in the blame to one degree or another, we are assuming that the rest of the world would not fall into the same trap had they had the same choices? Aren't other countries experiencing wealth right now falling for the same things we americans fell for. I shouldn't say right now because I don't know what shape these newly wealthy countries are in now.
Plus we can't say ALL americans either because not everyone lives a lifstyle beyond their means.
