Topic: Evolution is stupid | |

It's totally impossible to try to show that evolution exist to a
believer in Creation. And visa versa. The argument will go on for ever. If science could prove that evolution happened they(creationist will only debunk it)That's their agenda. No different from the communists willing to admit that capitalism was always the way to go. Ghost |

Capitalism only works when the merchants do not place greed above
community. Once greed becomes the major factor in the equation capitalism becomes as a withered vine and dies from the roots up. |

No different from the communists willing to admit that capitalism was always the way to go. Ghost, that's absolute bull****. I'm a Christian who believes God created man (Adam being the first man) BUT I also believe in evolution of species. I don't believe we came from apes. I believe that science cannot/does not exist without God, nor does anything else. So, to me, anything that "science" proves is simply further proof of the existence of God. Stop generalizing, though. It's not fair. |

Leviathan
Isaiah 27:1: "In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea." Psalms 74:14: "Thou didst crush the heads of the Leviathan, thou didst give him for food to the creatures of the desert." NIV Psalms 104:25,26: "O Lord, how manifold thy works, in wisdom you have created them all. So is this great and wide sea... there go the ships and the Leviathan which you have created to play therein" (AV); Book of Job 3:8 "May those who curse days curse that day, those who are ready to rouse Leviathan ";NIV Book of Job 41:1-34: "Can you draw out a Leviathan with a hook or press down its tongue with a cord? Canst thou put a hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a bridle ring? Will he make many supplications to thee? Will he speak soft words to thee? Will he make a covenant with thee? To take him for thy servant forever? Will thou play with him as with a bird? Or wilt thou bind him for thy girls? Will the tradesmen heap up payment for him?... Lay thy hand upon him, thou will no more think of fighting. Behold the hope of him is in vain, shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him? None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?...Who can open the doors of his face? His teeth are terrible round about. His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. One is near to the another, that no air can come between them. They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered. By his [sneezing] a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of morning. Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron. His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth....His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone....He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood. The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble....He maketh the deep to boil like a pot....he is a king over all the children of pride." In the Talmud, the Leviathan is mentioned a number of times: Avoda Zara (3b): "Rav Yehuda says, there are twelve hours in a day. The first three hours God sits and learns the Torah, the second three hours he sits and judges the world. The third three hours God feeds the entire world... the fourth three hour period God plays with the Leviathan as it is written: "the Leviathan which you have created to play with". Moed Katan (25b): "Rav Ashi said to Bar Kipok: what will be said at my funeral? He answered: "If a flame can fall a cedar, what hope does a small tree have? If a Leviathan can be hooked and hauled to land, what hope has a fish in a puddle?" Leviathan also appears in the Apocryphal Book of Enoch, giving the following description of this monster's origins there mentioned as being female, as opposed to the male Behemoth: And that day will two monsters be parted, one monster, a female named Leviathan in order to dwell in the abyss of the ocean over the fountains of water; and (the other), a male called Behemoth, which holds his chest in an invisible desert whose name is Dundayin, east of the garden of Eden. - 1 Enoch 60:7-8 Other theories, often cited by cryptozoology and creation science, is that Leviathan was an aquatic reptile, such as a Plesiosaurus, or a member of the Hadrosaur family - specifically the Parasaurolophus. The theory about the Parasaurolophus is intriguing and different than others presented because it attempts to explain the Biblical prose regarding fire-breath. Essentially, the idea is that through a chemical reaction similar to the one that occurs in the Bombardier beetle, a Parasaurolphus combines elements located in different parts of its crest to create a combustible gas.[1] However, the theory fails to take two crucial points into account in that the heated compounds would have scorched and severely injured the throat and nasal passages of Parasaurolophus, and that the skulls of Parasaurolophus have no suggestion of having glands that could produce heated compounds in the first place. |

:) You guys fell hook line and sinker! So much correction and yet nobody criticizes the correctors, only the person who made the erroneous statement. Google "Matthew 7:1-6" and you will find page after page that echos my commentary. Christians agree that the commentary I offered was accurate. I got attacked for correcting someone who didn't understand Matthew 7:1-6 in context, so where are the criticisms for the people who feel that they can correct me on the theory of evolution? And by the way you guys, learn a little about Evolution before you try to defend it. The theory of evolution states that humans have a common ancestor with apes, not that we are related to monkeys at all. Interesting that so many people support a theory that they don't even understand. Quoted for truth. |

Life is a symbiotic relationship of a complex group of cells that formed separately( over time) but united for the good of the one.... Kinda like cilia in the lungs, parts that operate independantly but all work together.... Creative evolution maybe ehhhh?

lizardking19,
If you read my post a few above your own, you will find out what this thread is about. This thread is very old and was created for a specific reason. I can only guess as to why Redy decided to resurrect this thread. I foolishly thought people would read my post and get my point, but it is much more fun for them to pretend my OP was serious. |

eh whatever man i just saw the begining of the thread and didnt really want to get in on the argument as i already have b4

"The debates in the threads go round and round....round and round..." ***Translated for the convenience of those not capable of understanding obtuse rhetoric*** Disclaimer....heaven forbid I go off topic.. so I find this thread has evolved, to nowhere. Evolution could be seen as stupid....I'll ask the rocks and monkeys, they might know. |
