The Iraq War was over in a couple of days and brilliantly executed. No other army in history has moved so much force across such a distance in as short a time. I was reading that it really freaked the Russians and Chinese out what we were capable of Yes. It was very impressive. Can you imagine being an Iraqi soldier and seeing that kind of force coming for you? thanks to our service men and women |

you cant win a gurella war with or without airpower. Also if Iran attacked we would have the air-power they needed in the Gulf. On Navy ships and in Afghanistan. The Viet cong during the Vietnam war won with out airpower. |

the fighting what was left of the Iraqi Army was akin to a school yard bully beating up a kid! we can't win...that's why we are pulling out We should have never went back in.... We will be going back in!!!!!! |

The goal of going to War with a country is to 1.)Remove the President of that country and take away his power. 2.)Dismantle or destroy their military. 3.)Invade and occupy that country. 4.)Rebuild,hold new elections,and win the hearts and minds of the people. We have done all of this and more.Both the Iraq and Afganistan wars have been sucessfull in their objectives.I really don't know what else you could ask for. |

And the ones hes leaving are noncombat troops who will be confined to bases outside of the cities where they can train, advise, and monitor whats happenning! |

It will come back and bite us in the azz...It always does!!! You sound like Fanta!!!  Not that there is anything wrong with that!

I'm sure it will end just fine.Somehow I just can't see a bunch of free people wanting to be controlled by a oppresive,out or countrol dictator,who theatens their country and their way of life again.Iraq has done very well since the rebuilding.Last I heard they had 68 billion in reserves and growing every day.I haven't heard about anybody complaining in at least a year about the US occupation there.Even the prime minister said he would like the US forces to be there until at least 2012.Military deaths are becoming a rarity. As far as troops being there.I'm sure there will be some troops there for 50 plus years.There is still a large number of troops that are still in place from World war two.There is still troops guarding the borders from the Korea conflict. |
