LOL... I just thought of another "star trek" analogy. In an episode of "Next Generation" the crew landed on a "utopian" planet. The kid, Wesley, fell into some flowers. This was against the law, on this planet no matter the crime, you get the death penalty. No wonder they had "utopian peace" Everyone was scared to death... of death.

Sometimes I will challenge a person to explain an idea or concept. This does not mean I am neccessarily disagreeing with them. In those cases I just want to see to what extent a person actually understands what they are professing.

Rose, when an instructor at college or high school gives you a quiz or test, does that mean the instructor disagrees with you or does it mean they are testing your understanding of a particular subject? Thats what its like.I have found that a lot of people may believe the "right thing" but they cant articulate why, or they have the "right answer" but for the wrong reasons. I find that to be the height of irony and I like to point that out sometimes.

I just target right wingers more than libs because they do things like critisize iberalism and socialism but cant actually explain what it is, or people say they disagree with evolution but dont actually know what Darwin said. Its a more reactionary position and its easier to point out the holes in their logic. Not all right wingers though. "TheAdventureBegins" (for example)is (mainly) a right winger that I cant really argue with because he actually knows what he believes and can explain it.
