Have you ever set up a date, a spacific time and place to meet, you show up on time, you might even get there first, go ahead and get a table for two, and you wait. With all the tech. these days, cell phones and e-mails, the other person knows he/she is not going to show up, and yet you sit there waiting, telling the waitress, you will wait to order when you friend arrives. You end up feeling and looking like a fool.Do you call and try to find out what happend to them? do you make excuses for them? so you feel like a fool? do you give them another chance?

I always wait outside so that don't happen. Had it happen once, never again.

To many maybes to answer yes or no but for myself i would never not show and not let her know in some ways, but that is me and not him. Listen to his excuse or reason for letting you hang there by yourself and decide if he is worth another chance.

It depends on who it is and why they did it. I MIGHT listen to their reason, and then they had better have a good one. If someone stands me up and then never bother to tell me why, they are done. There will be no more chances.

Your not meeting the right kind of men then because if they were they would not make a date and not show up or not call to apologize or explain.

Just happened to me last saturday, but i didn't get a table. I waited at the front door. It is completely embarassing! But guess what the guy isn't worth your time!

Ok you call to see if they are OK, because of bad weather, you call again because you got no answer, alnd youare worried, and you really liked this guy, two days later, you finely get ahold of him and ask why, land he hangs up on you, would you be in agreement that i should move on?

please tell me you're asking "hypothetically". You don't REALLY need me to tell you if you should move on from a jerk like that right? Because you should know only a jerk would do that to someone.

I know He is a Jerk, I think every man or woman deserver to be treated with respect, call and cancel, I just haven't figured out how to tell the good men from the Jerks yet

The fact that he's a jerk doesn't piss you off any less. I know. You have reason to be confused and upset. but try not to waste one more minute of your life on him. you know he's not spending any time thinking about you... His loss. Move on and move fast.

Sadly nobody as invented yet a bullet proof way to detect jerks/assholes (male or female).

happened to me about 4 wks ago, with someone from this sught who shall remain nameless, but i sat at the bar for about an hour and then sent him a text msg, calling him a coward, needless to say i have never heard from him again, i dont make excuses just swallow hard and move on

What gets me is why does a guy make a date when he ALREADY KNOWS that he is planning on standing you up?

Makes me want to buy a cast iron skillet for the sole purpose of hitting people up side the head with it.

seriously I just remember how other jerks have treated me. If I get a whiff of him acting like that... I'm gone. If you can't treat me with the same respect I offer you, then I'm walking away. You teach people how to treat us. If you allow someone to be like that you, they will.
