dark or light site themes? I have two themes, one dark and one light. I can't decide which one I want to use, so I'm asking to see what most people prefer.

Well, I would love to give users the option to choose which theme they want, but that ins't possible right now.

it really depends on the site content.

Light is recommended..there are some rules in web design..Dark , black , there is no good influence, no good emotions with black and dark..

I agree with Brett. A pastel pink background on a death metal site really kills the mood.

depends on content. Something cutting edge would be better suited dark normally while something more contemporary fares better light IMO.

How about posting both and letting us see? maybe just a screenshot if you prefer.

I'd have to agree with those who say it depends on the website. One of my sites has a dark theme, and the other has a light theme. Depends on what you are attempting to convey in the theme for a message.

I'd say whatever you do, follow the K.I.S.S. principle (Keep it simple, stupid). Notice how the site here is brilliant that way. Makes for less background stimulation and annoyance.
