Hey Madison, many were sucked into Obama's message of "change". People naturally want things to get better. I know you don't want to hear this but much the same can be said about people who voted for Bush the first time. He ran on the idea of ending Clinton's wars, and becoming fiscally responsible...grumble

Truth is, Obama is still new. He feels pressure from congress to stay "on track". There is a chance if people, put enough pressure on him, maybe it will drown out some of congress's influence. WHo knows.

Best thing is, find out where our problems started (ignore political parties, and presidents in charge), and find out how we treat the disease. All too often we get distracted by the sympoms, so we ignore the disease. When change comes, it will come from the people, not political powers...

I can't believe I'm uttering these words because I normally regard him as a cancer on free thinking minds, but Rush said something very applicable a while back: Obama refuses to define change because by leaving it open ended, the people are allowed to speculate and project their own ideas for change onto his image.

It's rare you get a real gem from that show but that sentence to me summed up the entire Obama campaign\

Oh, and think2deep, I was completely unaware of those in power. The few I looked into checked out so I'll take you at your word on it lol. Thanks for the heads-up.

Rush is an idiot. If that is a "gem" then you have really low standards...lol Obama is showing us the change he spoke of. He has only been in a month and he is over turning Bush at every turn.

Too smart for an idiot. He is dishonest, true. But not an idiot.

He is definitely smarter than I am and you are. This makes us pass as idiots way before his name would be considered.

While his program is normally crap and I despise it for the fact he pushes his agenda instead of encouraging open-mind thinking, he is far from an idiot. Unfortunately, it is apparent you have no more an open mind than he does.

Explain to me how record deficit spending is change. Explain to me how all the pork in the stimulus bill is any different than prior legislation. Explain to me how the process involved leading up to the passage of said stimulus bill was any different than the Patriot Act. Please, explain to me any part of the current administration that has changed how business is done and does not represent just a change in ideology.

you're right andrew. the crazy thing is that i was listening to him interview ****kk cheney and he was praising cheney and bush for pushing the bailout. he then a couple of days later went to bashing obama's bailout. a bailout is a bailout no matter what you want to call it or how pushes it. he is a payed agitator is what he is, to keep people divided thru means of thinking in democratic or republican ways. it's all just divide and conquer tactic.
