I recently asked my ex to tell me the truth about what went wrong, and to be honest, brutally honest if he had to be, and being the lawyer he is, the obliged me. He let me know, point blank, I was a smotherer, and I brought up ex's and that made him feel like crap because it made him think I had not let go of my ex before him. He also let me know men like to have a chance to show their affection, they don't want to bombarded by our need to be with them or near them or talk to them or hear from them all the time.
Valentines day brought alot of bad emotions, which is what caused us to break up in the first place. Granted, after some tears, I felt alot better about my approach and treatment of those in my life, particularly in the 'let them be themselves' department, because it is the only way you can see someone for who they are, in all their true nature and intricate values and ideals, so have some patience I say, give your man or woman a chance to be themselves. Ok, there I go again, giving unwanted advice, take this for what is worth, LOL probably worth another sip of soda and a chip, giggleshappy laugh

I was before i knew any better. When i was a teen i didn't understand that too much attention was a bad thing.

Thankfully now i live a learned lesson and give attention in moderation. key to avoiding alot of smothering though is comunication. Just talk. but don't pester with questions either. ><

went down that road once too.

you live you learn... and if yer smart you try not to repeat past mistakes.

Smothering may not be so bad to some. Some people prefer it.

Yeah. That whole ' pillow over the face ' thing kinda puts a damper on a relationship.
