Listen minor leagues teams play harder because they are not making millions and still have something to prove. The Phillies (both Philadelphia and Reading) always play hard because they are the underdogs!!!!! You mean the part where they get smoked by Tampa AND Boston again??? THAT ' end of story '??? Well, now that ARod is going to be off the juice... you can take about 80 RBI away from his usual production. So yeah... I think you got that about right. you cant take 80 off. he hasnt been on the jucie recently it was in 2003 smart guy...and not only that but he didn't use his first several years and his first few seaons the one he put up just as good of numbers as in 07'...his numbers are going to be just the same. get with the program Speaking of " get with the program ".... Just today it came out that A-Roid had a known steroids dealer, who has been banned from major league clubhouses since '03 ( I believe ) staying at the same hotels and rooming with the cousin who A-Rod said brought the steroids from the Dominican Republic, as recently as '07. It's also reported that A-Rod PAID for the known steroids dealer to stay in those hotels. Might want to rethink your position about using the '07 numbers to prove your point. Might as well face facts. Alex Rodriguez's numbers are forever tainted. Why has the guy been associated with A Rod as recently as last fall??? No. You can't take away what A Rod did at the beginning of his career. However...every number from the time he signed with Texas, right up until last season, is under suspicion. Just because he says '03-'06 were the only years he used makes no difference at all. |

Cheating has been a part of baseball from the beginning. Fact is the pitchers were the only ones, until the age of steroids, that had demonstrably successful ways to cheat. I wonder why pitching cheats have never drawn the ire like the steroid inflated hitting cheats?

He was a supremely gifted player in the first place. That I'll definitly give you. Ya know what?? I don't really give a rat's ass about baseball players using steroids. The fact is, MacGwire and Sosa basically SAVED the game with their home run chase. The game was in a lot of trouble because of the labor disagreement and the World Series being cancelled. Everyone is ging after the hitters who used, and ( I agree with Waterloo on this one ) the pitchers are getting a pass. Well...except Clemens. But he brought it on himself. |

The only ones who are getting a pass are those who openly admit they used. Those who have lied to congress or the grand jury are being hunted down. ARod is being saught out because the way he responded was fake as hell. "I didn't think I was doing anything wrong" Yeah right, buying a drug that was illeagle to improve your performance and you didn't know it was wrong. Give me a break. And him saying he hasn't been using while he carries around a trainer that is banned from all MLB facilities and his cousin who injected him with the roids.... LIAR. He's pretty much ruined.

i agree with that jusin..but yet i do so how he might of known it was wrong but yet it wasnt against the rules at the time. so mabey it was wrong, but i kinda get it but yea he was fake as hell..
