yep. Been laid off twice since Christmas. They told me I would be able to come back in March'ish. That sounds reassuring. Then I found out they are laying more off at the end of this month. Damn auto industry.

I've never been laid off but I did get basically fired from a job two weeks ago. First time ever. Huge company, and a job that I was not well suited for, so I didn't care. They didn't give a reason and I didn't ask but I'm guessing they ran a background check past 20 years or so. lol I really didnt need another job but took it because I thought it would be challenging, or at least interesting. It wasn't.

I was laid off in 2002, Thats when I decided to become self employed. Can't trust employers for a job.

I was laid off in 2002, Thats when I decided to become self employed. Can't trust employers for a job. Amen. I've been self-employed, mostly too, since 1978. When I traveled I worked for other companies but home...Its all me. Thats the way to go. I do work for two companies here but still RELY on my own work.
