grateful to still have a job ditto, although it's tenuous. I do have a second job though, and a third in the works if I don't make them wait too long. It always helps to plan ahead.

I have never been laid off, work for the state, it's nearly impossible! Seriously haha LOL unless you're in Cali.. Hopefully, they have saved the job with the new budget but the were going to lay off 20,000

Have been here over 2 yrs and only person I have ever seen get fired, it was because they had sex with a client..... I work for Child Protective Services, not the best idea.

Client or worker? The worker was the moron. Hell the client has grounds to basically get their investigation dismissed now. It is causing all kinds of problems. Never get involved with clients, especially in our field where 65% of our clients have criminal cases result from the investigation. Some people!

Never get involved with clients, especially in our field where 65% of our clients have criminal cases result from the investigation. Some people! Next time I'm in Austin, I'll be on the lookout for horny caseworkers then and avoid them......lol

Nope but I have lost most of my medical benefits and the axe keeps getting closer and closer to the department I work in. We have lost a lot of people over the last year. thanks for reminding me. This day is just really going downhill fast. Kinda reminds me of this last Christmas.
