an Engagement Ring? Ive heard varying amounts, one was up to 3 months salary. Im thinking 3 months is pretty excessive. Maybe if you work in the third world and earn a dollar a week.. Elsewhere i read a months salary. What do you think, is that too much or not enough? (And Lisa, dont get your hopes up! im just wondering! haha!!) nothing, it's time the women started paying for our affection. |

Well i think 3 months of wages is way over excessive! Maybe half of 1 months wage is more appropriate?!
If i ever get engaged, i would be happy if its a style/color i like, and would enjoy wearing it (afterall, i would be wearing it every day for a long time). The price doesnt really come into it. And Dan, dont worry, i wont expect a proposal! |

my dad bought my mom her first ring for $300 at a jewelers in 1978. She had it for almost 30 years before it slipped off her finger and down the drain. They picked out her second ring from Walmart for $200 in 2000. I don't think price really matters when you love someone. and anyone that would base how muh someone else cares for them based on the expense of a ring or any opther trinket doens't truly love the other.
